Good Tips. It doesnt look like you were too comfortable with the GS just because you always get in really close with it. Im just curious, what was your favorite weapon?

@YugoRed Actually it is GS, along with Duals, SnS and HBG. I was in a car accident a few days before this video was made, so I didnt have full use of my hand at the time.

just a good tip, when khezu's asleep i dont aim for his tail i get RIGHT in front of his head the charge then...BLAMO!!!!!!he's dead.

@theborges4 i dunno if ya beat it now but i used full kutku armor and kutku bow and i can kill him in about 15 mins. the materials arent that hard to get and u need kutku materials for alot of things at a lower level. just power coat then when they deplete use sleep coat, barrel bomb+ and hes dead. always use charge 3 (lv 3 spread for kutku bow) and attack after he does an attack. if you DO get hit it would have probably been badluck. just my 2 cents

Actually, if you fight khezu on you level once you get shocked you will lost half of your health beacuse tigrex armor is weak to thunder

i like this vid im a total nube and i personally like the hammer but after watching this i might get a gs hammers are mainly good when you are good enough to never get hit wich im not so gs seems like a good idea btw are ongswords good for killing the khezu advice would be appreciated

The long sword is the best weapon to kill khezus.

GS takes a bit of practice to use against them, and you must know what you're doing when preparing to strike.

The longsword on the other hand, you stay behind it, attack legs, dodge charge up, repeat. Way more suitable for the inexperienced.

No offense, but i hate these sort of guides.

Every one can kill a khezu with full tigrex set and an awesome GS.

Use an armor and a weapon which you are able to have in jr1 and 2* village quests.

No real help otherwise. People who watch this are normally only that far, and they obviously don't have good weapons by then.

I'm glad you shared that ground breaking info almost a year after I made the video and made note that the Guide wasn't very well put together.

Fact of the matter is that either way, Khezu isnt a hard monster. Your armor doesn't matter, your weapon doesn't matter. All that matters is knowing when to and when not to attack, which this vid shows.

Hi, call me noob bu hay, i just got MFHU and im on the 2* urgent quest to kill the Khezu, and i cant do it!, im using Full Conga, minus the helm, i cant get it cause of the Vibrant Pelt, anyway, wot was your weapon, and wot do you advise i do? im not a total noob cause i got to HR5 on MHF2, :) any advice welcome and appriceated.

Well, besides Earplug armor, no one armor set has a major advantage while fighting Khezu. To fight him however, I would suggest a Greatsword, Sword and Shield or Lance/GL.

The main thing to remember in fighting him is not to focus too much on spamming combos, or you might get shocked. Get a few hits in, and get away till you find another opening.

Well, Your best bet is to use a quick sword or a gs's draw strike. Khezu attacks slowly. when his mouth fills with blue smoke he's faster and stronger, so be extra carefull. he's weak to fire and water (I think).

I used to use Tigrex armor up until i stopped MHF2 and started MHP2ndg. I didn't really need any other armor because i rarely got hit lol. It was around the time where monsters could 1 hit me when i decided to get some new armor :D

Suggestion: Don't use really good armor and weapons. Try to show the noobs how to do it in equipment worse than their own so they will understand and not ask like why is it taking me 30 mins when it took him 5? Just a suggestion....

the 'wierd freeze animation' is khezus signal for entering rage mode - all the time he is in rage mode he will periodically blow out the blue smoke - in rage u realy dont want to get hit by a scream so block it or it'll finish the scream and be owning your ass before u get out of the scream ear holding animation

go between the wing and tail (not too close) start your charge 2 secs after it goes down it shuld turn and you will full charge its head :)

You could have attacked from much better positions to maximize your attacks, not really impressive. If you want safe, go use Guard+2 with any Gun Lance, that's safe and effective.

Why do we say use a hammer? Because it's more worthwhile and quicker. Of course this does not apply to everything but it does deal the most damage over time in general.

And again, I told you that I'm not going for speed kills, just alternative methods to killing monsters.

TBH it isnt very good though I suppose it will be helpful for the nubs. When Khezu does his thunder ball attack you can stand to the right or left of his head, as Khezu starts to do the attack, not get hit and get a lvl3 charge in on its weakspot. There is a video on here of someone doing the startegy on a Marathon quest. Its in my favourites list and its by jijipoke.

TBH, you didn't seem to read my notes on the series.

The point of these films isnt so much a min/max "speed kill" but the safest possible kill using the least number of healing items, without the use of hammer.

I personally think it's a very good idea to make these kind of video's. tbh, most of the time I'm not looking to break any records, or atleast not when im trying to get to the next hunter rank.

I understand it isnt a speed kill but the safest possible way is actually hitting it from the safe areas to the side of the thunder ball. You can most likely stagger khezu with each charge which gives you a lot more time to get to safety. keep at a moderate distance in front of Khezu will 80% of the time trigger the thunder ball attack.

You could say its like GS charging Tigrex but not hitting the head because it attacks, more oftern, from the front.
