Poor Defenseman Position

This is an ok play as long as your defenseman has enough recovery speed to get back. As a d-man, you can pinch but you have to know when to "bail out" and "get back" as I say. What happened here was probably that the D-man tried to keep a puck in briefly but bailed out fast enough so he could still stay "toe-to-toe" with the opponents forward. Therefore, I can't be too upset at the defenseman since he had enough recovery speed to get back. It's a fine line though. Can't do this ALL THE TIME..

all I have to say easton is skate back as fast as you can so the D can try and stand up the the guy with the puck, and if the D man misses you will be right beside the guy with the puck and then you drop him.

I am going to be a freshmen for my highschool team this year, we have a tourny this weekend and i have noticed that this play happens often with our defense (i am a foward) but even though it is a race that pass only makes it to the middle guy once every thousand times. If that pass doesnt happen then that rushers ends of sitting at the blue line (completely stopped) or offsides....just making an input
