Hey I saw a video that was taken in Rolex factory in Switzerland and some mid-bracelet/band pieces were empty inside them, they were just curved. I was shocked and I still don't understand how that's possible in such a great company's manufacture section. WTF!? I'm still in shock.
@EzyGlider Don't think of it as a "review" as much as a reflection of many who purchase watches like this. As far as being worthless, it's all in the eye of the beholder. Consider this: you have a bomb strapped to your chest. The instructions tell you that you have 15 minutes to solve a puzzle of it goes boom. The other option is to press a red button in which someone else will have to wear the bomb vest. You also have a choice of wearing this watch or no watch. How worthless is it now?
1:15 The crown is too big. The bracelet on this particular model should not have a polished center link. It's a fake. I was wondering who actually bought them.
Let me point out some funny things said in this video.
"It's like, a Divers watch" "Rolex is British" "Timer Thingy" "SOmetimes the watch STOPS so you have to change the BATTERY on this" WHAT?
WHAT?! THE BATTERY? BRITISH?
Perhaps you either have a very horrible fake (most fakes are Automatic without a battery even) Or you need to stop making videos about your Daddies watch, when you know nothing about it.
Sorry buddy, but should have done some homework on the watch. I agree that its low depth oriented and its a good watch if you go diving, not so much about the submarine, unless you are strapped outside the submarine, because the crew dont get along... Please dont take it personally.
Yes on there classic models before they had their new design. Since, this watch he is showing is a GMT-Master II, that would mean that it doesn't have a battery. Thanks for all the schooling. But lets face it. You won't see a Rolex on the market with a battery simply because it too priceless. Now the watch in this video if it is real does not have a battery. There is no such thing as a GMT-Master with a battery is really what I meant to say. I think it is fake for that reason.
Okay so now lets talk about his words here. He clearly has no clue of what he is saying. timer thing doesn't sound very "Rolexy" now does it. When you go buy a Rolex, while you are trying it on and they are sizing the band, they talk to you about the watch. They give you info and words that rolex uses. Like Ceramic Bezel, crown, cyclops, maxi-dial, rotating bezel, and other things like that. So, you need to check where you got this confusing peice, bud.
@zjjl94 I agree, well with some of it. 'maxi-dial' is a Rolex term, the others, crown, cyclops, rotating bezel, ceramic bezel are just general watch terms, and not specific to Rolex. When reviewing any watch you should at least know some of the common horological / industry terms for watch parts / features
Now that I have made that clear. Let talk about this battery business. There is no such thing as a Rolex with a battery. Rolexes are great becuase of that. They work on the kinetic energy of the movement of your wrist, and they also can be winded if you do not wear it for a period of time, like 48 hours or something like that. So on that comment I feel that it is fake, regardless of its apparent weight. You can't change a battery on something that doesn't have one, duh.
@zjjl94 Hate to take you to school, but I'm afraid I'll have to. Yes, Rolex did make watches with batteries. They were called OysterQuartz which have a case and bracelet that I really like. :)
@ThinkBachsVideo Yes on there classic models before they had their new design. Since, this watch he is showing is a GMT-Master II, that would mean that it doesn't have a battery. Thanks for all the schooling. But lets face it. You won't see a Rolex on the market with a battery simply because it too priceless. Now the watch in this video if it is real does not have a battery. @zjjl94 QUOTE " Let talk about this battery business. There is no such thing as a Rolex with a battery"
Yes there was, the 1980's OysterQuartz, not many were made, although a good looking watch they weren't that popular. Because of this they are now highly sought after by Rolex Collectors
Just for some of you commentors, Rolex was actually a british company by Wilsdorf Hanns, the he took his company to Switzerland. Hence Swiss Made. So actually Rolex is british and swiss, thats why Rolex feels that they are somewhat of an outcast in the Swiss market because they werent orginally swiss. just saying bud you should check your facts before you call someone a dumb A**
@zjjl94 Sorry mate but you have your facts wrong. Dumb@ss
Rolex is a Swiss company outright. Wilsdorf & Davis moved their UK operation to Switzerland in the early 1900's The Rolex trade name was registered in 1908 in La Chaux-de-Fonds Switzerland, therefore making it 100% Swiss. The founders were a German - Wilsdorf and an Englishman - Davis
Really impossible to verify it's authenticity with such a poor video and no attempt to view in macro, but I do tend to think it might be real just on the way the bracelet's extra weight and thickness looks and its very stiffly, straight, solid play in his hands. What's so odd about this is why it is, or how it might have been acquired, given (sugar daddy?) to him, and he seems to have zero-minus-one sentimentality over it at all.
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
@lilkg32 :D Please keep in mind that I am in no way involved with this video other than finding it online and sharing it here on YouTube. May God have Mercy on all our souls, I have a feeling that there are waaaaaaaay too many other things to be upset about than some kid who excited shares his enthusiasm for a Rolex watch- rep or not. :)
@ghesbo99 I like how it can go up to such low depth and still read the time, because it's like a diver's watch, like when you're a rich person im a Submarine. A British submarine.
@bobbymonks1 Just for some of you commentors, Rolex was actually a british company by Wilsdorf Hanns, the he took his company to Switzerland. Hence Swiss Made.
