  • Who's the one in the middle?

  • In 1978, The O'Jays were on the decline. Sometimes, it's fun when it lasts, but, in their case, it came to an end. Pity. They were great in The 70's.

  • All Motown..Gotta dig man!!!

  • Great music. O'jays forever. People disliking this are dead inside, no feelings.

  • disco era streetcorner nostalgie.

  • That was the best

  • 1978,I WAS IN MY PRIME,(AT LEAST I THOUGHT I WAS),THE O'JAYS WERE THE SH-T,1ST SAW THEM IN 1976(20 yrs old),THEY WERE SO SMOOTH.THEY DID SHIP AHOY,IT WAS &STILL TO THIS DAY THE MOST CAPTIVATING,EMOTIONAL PERFORMACES I HAVE SEEN ON STAGE- DALE IN TAMPA-"74/75,RIVERVIEW

  • My wife and I danced to this at our wedding.

  • Great memories come flooding. Back

  • no more jive in the hive these days......just hate! sad.

  • oooooh lovin'g it yeahaaah suuupp ssuupp suppdooody lol

  • How in the heck did they pull off such an energized, spirited cover of this classic that had to have been 15 years old or more by 1988? This inspires me as a 40 year old guy.

  • @ebonics4everyone Not a cover. They're the original artists.

  • Love them! My group growing up back in the day!

  • the best music ever!!!! this song is timeless....

  • class

  • Ooohhh Yeah! I'm dancing! Love the O'Jays....So much heart passion & soul. This is REAL music! No music like the music from back in the day! A time of some of the best music that ever was and ever will be! Miss those days!

Great memories, music, people and the best of times!

    Thank you @mokacode for sharing

Thank you @metalboombox for posting this GEM!

  • There are a lot of artists that could learn a lot from the class of soul music from the past.

  • evertime i hear eddie levert's voice i think of his son gerald. i love them both

  • oops, more than last yr this was, sorry : )

  • After all the years, these guys performed this well last year. Amazing!!!! Love their messages. I miss my girl(s).

  • This riff and melody should be labled a traditional or public domain. George Harrison got sued for "borrowing" the tune "my Sweet Lord" from the song "He's So Fine". Example of similar sounds are "I'm A Girl Watcher" or "Breezin".

  • lol the increase in the crime is because of Rap music, lol you're funny! What about hard rock, acid, heavy metal, etc what do the subliminal messages in some of that music relay. No, the world is bad because times are getting worse. lol They don't listen to rap music in Eastern Europe countries, and I'd rather live in the ghettos of New York than there, or in communist China, no travel see the whole world as I have, Rap music does not make the increase in crime, crime will increase itself.

  • I'm not gonna use the word hate,But i don't like people who say they sold more cd's in this generation then any before. They sell more DRUGS & GUNS in this generation then any other so does that mean we have to jump up & down for joy for IGNORANT and STUPID people in this world that don't know any better.

  • NICE!!!

  • I used to be your girl! So glad I will soon be free!!

  • @baj7557 Divorce I presume?

  • This is when african american's had talent and weren't lazy

  • @ConklinNY And Whites aren't the Planet, every other minority does your work. FYI we still create the higest selling music in the Music Industry! Oh FYO you still copy us in everything we do! SO Shut The *#^^$) Up! Racists Cracker!!!!

  • @ConklinNY And Whites aren't the laziest on the Planet, every other minority does your work. FYI we still create the higest selling music in the Music Industry! Oh FYO you still copy us in everything we do! SO Shut The *#^^$) Up! Racists Cracker!!!!

  • @cammicty I know people don't think before they talk, but I'm sorry but it's not a color thing i should of say any body who does rap doesn't have any talent even eminem

  • @ConklinNY I always think before I talk, or type, and rapping is an Art and a talent. There is all kinds of rap, which I'm sure you have no idea, as I'm sure it all sounds the same to you, which is typical. I listen and love all kinds of music, however, there is Rap, real Rap that the average Caucasian can never understand, KRS, for example, one of many Rap artist, who'' rapped'' about issues of racism, life etc. Eminem could never step in their shoes! You know nothing about music.

  • @cammicty Music is about SING NOT TALK OR ADULT NURSERY RHYMES.

  • @ConklinNY Let me educate you: Music: the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity , vocal, instrumental, or mechanical sounds having rhythm, melody, or harmony ! Rap is Music! Wow your the typcial ignorant Caucasian ( and I DON'T MEAN ALL) , who knows absoutely nothing when it comes to Ethnic music, I'm sure you don't even understand this. "PffF,

  • @cammicty I'm sorry I sould of said I'm a american and I don't listen or like non american music.I'm sorry i only speak english and i only understand english.I don't listen to spanish or german music cause i don't speak it,so I'm sorry for the way i said that.

  • @ConklinNY FYI, those adult Nursery Rhymes, sell more Cd's, Dwnlds, than any other music on the planet today. Why do so many Caucasians today enter our world of Rap and R&B, when I was young they sure didn't. It's all about the money, and they don't want to miss out. They were the same way in the 20's with Blues, 40's with Swing, 50's til' now with R&B, and the mid 90's, they tried to break into rap. Just keepin it real. Don't forget to think before you type & know what you're talking about.

  • @ConklinNY By the way this was a different genre of music and the average Caucasian, was not listening to even this type of music, back when it was out, I am not young and growing up as a teenager in the early 70's I remember well. This was real R& B!

  • @cammicty I understand what ur saying about selling more cd's,but think about this there are more drugs sold more now then there was sold in the 60's n 70's so what does that tell you? That there r more IGNORANT and STUPID people in this generation.Theres more killing n drugs in this generation yea there real smart n know whats good LMFAO.

  • The Mighty Mighty O' Jays went to the show last night in Vegas - still the best.

  • Look at these boys gettin down!

  • jhaywood you have a lot to learn, shhhh people wont know that you are ignorant, he is not crying he is remebering the good times he had with her. Every man that has loved and lost can relate, guess you havent had the pleasure yet.

  • Damn I miss the 70s and the 80s

  • Music today is politics, it's fashion, it's political correctness, and (with a few exceptions) it's formulated and manufactured for people who consume it like McDonald's and Pepsi. Computers today can produce tracks with virtual perfection, but try as they might, they cannot recreate the artistry and musicianship demonstrated here. Anyone remember when music used to be fun? Remember when hearing a song made you feel good? What the hell happened? Music television has no music on it? WTF?!

  • word@ eviljoker! Leave those souljah boy listeners in the dust!!! this is real music! 87 here

  • @jjhaywood so calling a woman a bitch is better? Your morals need a serious overhaul

  • @jjhaywood wtf are u talkin about them people u listen to in hip hop cry over bitches to , these men was real enough to say it in there music dont hate on the classics, and im 22 born in 88 and i still like this over that hip hop mainstream crap u listen to now

  • Oh wouldn't it be awesome if the Jonas brothers did a cover of this? Oh wait-wouldn't it be even better if talentless Disney hacks like the Jonas brothers were simply killed? :-)

  • Don't even joke like that... It would be horrible if they did a cover for this. You might give them the idea..

  • heknowitall supposing you are an older adult which, I can't say for sure, because I am not an older adult and I love this stuff, Why are you talking about the Jonas Brothers. The way you mention them is so childish.
