To those posting lyric's - Thank You! - The begininging of the end IMO - John Kahn soon to follow.....c'mon, such a shame. This man changed my life, Thank You for posting as he lived till he met his reward and still had some gems left to bestow. What a lucky bunch....
I am selfish and I'd like to see and feel him still.
Every man has a right to live Love is all that we have to give Together we struggle by your will to survive And together we fight just to stay alive Struggling man has got to move Struggling man, no time to lose I'm a struggling man And I've got to move on As the sun lights the day and the moon lights the night Struggling man keeps reaching for the higher heights So we plan for tomorrow as we live for today Like a flower we bloom and then later fade away
Struggling man has got to move Struggling man, no time to lose I'm a struggling man And I've got to move on Struggling man has got to move Struggling man, no time to lose I'm a struggling man And I've got to move on Struggling man, struggling man Struggling man, struggling man Struggling man, struggling man
Yeah, I think the only people who would say that about Garcia are people who have never played guitar and are taken aback by blues scales played at rapid pace. Jerry had the ability to play extremely fast, but a lot of it is the subtleties like the notes being played during singing and the notes not being played during the solos.
jerry was getting real tired of playing grateful dead music, that was painfully obvious, but when he went out with his band he had alot of fun,he even looked like he wanted to be on stage, but when his jgb tour would end and it was back on the road with the dead,he did not look happy at all.i am just glad i got to see the garcia band and the dead back when it really was fun and the music was killer each and every nite.
I love that song, Thank you for sharing that, Gerry's guitar was as sweet as ever.
