  • man you should see how big my empire is! so big that it frose my old computer and made me have to get a knew one! luckily it saved my empire!

  • when i first played as the Vasari on SoaSE,i made HUNDREDS of scout frigates with one capital ship,if a few pirates arrived at the planet where my fleet was stationed;BANG!the pirates were annihalated in just a few seconds! thats just pure, yet cheap space power.....god dang!i miss this game,it's my favorite strategy game!

  • As the onslaught continued, one by one, TEC planets fell. Politicians failed to realize what they were up against until the Vasari imperial remnant evolved into a reborn Vasari empire. With millions already dead, the future of human civilization was in question. Dissent was plaguing the TEC as the Vasari continued to invade. It seemed that the TEC would fall from within. A dark future awaited. Even the Vasari Empire was plagued by slave revolts. What happened next, you don't want to know.

  • @treved15 EVE is a real time action type game where you are controlling your ship, flying around the universe doing missions/trade etc. Sins is a real time 4X strategy game where you aren't flying a ship, you are commanding/giving orders to fleets while also dealing with economy/resources. very different experiences. Sins is much deeper. Both good games though.

  • @treved15 battlestar galactica online isn't strategy.

  • @treved15 sins of a solar empire is a strategy game.while eve i think is mmorpg or something ?

  • @treved15 completely different types of games mate.

  • i thought the large ship the comes in around 2:00 was gonna eat the lil one

  • For people who like this type of game, but want a plot, try Homeworld 1 and 2. The Story is beautiful

  • i havent found anything that quite lives up to the amazing storytelling of the original homeworld in terms of space-based rts games. Does sins have any backstory? Are there any games out there that have a really great plot? I'm not interested in EVE.

    Similar space-age Games I've played:

    HW, Cataclysm, HW2

    Nexus: TJI

    X3:Reunion,

    Alpha Centauri,

    Starcraft

I just want to find a really good RTS but I find a lot of them are lacking in compelling storylines.

  • @ctrlaltdlt01 do not get sins if you want a plot. it HAS none. it has a vague back story and then the game is just skirmish matches... really awesome game, but no story, or even singleplayer campaign.

  • @ctrlaltdlt01 X3TC!!!!! get it.

  • @ctrlaltdlt01 Thank You for adding a list of related games.

X3:Reunion was fun up to the point (300hrs) where AI ships self destruct arriving at complexes. Trade Fight Build Think

  • Great game but could use some tweaks

  • Eve ftw!!! it's not just another Wrold of warcraft type game it's the real deal!

  • @roder000

    this isn't eve?

  • @magicdavid7 rofl. i know it isn't.

  • This is pretty nice :) Thumbs up

  • Random but wery good. How did you make the cursor disapier? Keep on making!

  • Good video. I like the close up. 5*

  • does freelancer have strategic zoom?

does it let you field hundreds of ships at once?

    play the free demo.

still, this video could have been better produced.

  • No but it gives u better gameplay :- )

i have just try the demo.... DAMN !

    SOM FUCKING CRAP :D hahahahah

  • cool story, bro

  • Lol those aint pirates they just retards hanging around a neutral planet like some ped hanging around a candy store with pedo. XD But cool vid 5/5 XD

  • Vasari ships(Ordered in appearance): Jikara Navigator, Kortul Devestator, Ravastra Skirmisher, Kanrak Assailant, Stilakus Subverter, Skaravos enforcer.

Enemy Ships: (Ordered in appearance): Cobalt light frigate, Krosov siege frigate, Javelis LRM frigateGarda flak frigate.

  • small battle but still great

  • So THAT'S cinematic mode. Pretty good. I haven't used it yet, so I don't record my games.

  • lol that was very nice, me likes it.

  • Having fleets stationed at chokepoints is the best strategy. However, the best non-ship defense is getting the technology to see ships jumping from two planets away, giving you time to respond. Otherwise, yeah, hangars and repair bays do a decent job. Don't neglect intel though, it will keep you from getting blindsided by those 15 siege frigates. ^_^

  • Meh. The best defensive strategy is to always have two fronts on an enemy empire so if they send x number of fleets in one direction, break through their weakpoints in other sectors. Although I agree, the technology which allows you to see phase jumps two planets away is absolutely critical.

  • I beg to differ: For Vasari,(Race used)best non-ship defense reserch is 'see every ship in phase space'

  • best defense is cluster of Vasari fighter bays around 2 repair buildings.

  • beautiful

  • very nice. 5stars!

bettr than that overdone cam-angles in other clips.

  • Nice

  • Well thought out movie, love the part with cap ship coming in. I hope I can get this game tomorrow I've been trying since it came out but PC games are a dieing breed no one sells them around here any more :(

btw which race has the best Defense?

  • i believe the upgraded Vasari turrets, but defense is crap in general right now

  • Yeah, the defense turrents for all of the races aren't especially good, except in large numbers with concentrated fire. They aren't really supposed to defend anything, just buy time so you can get some ships in orbit.

  • at 2:41 the ship kinda looks like its a UNSC marathon class from halo

  • It's a Krosov Siege Frigate. Designed to bombard planets.

  • very nice

  • Slick..well done

  • vasari dont mess around!
