For those unaware, in a previous ep Zero threatened he would reveal to the public about "Orange" (which was made up on the spot) and then used his Geass to make Gottwald "Do everything in his power to help them get away" - So people didnt suspect supernatural power, and make it seem like Gottwald genuinly wanted to cover up this "Orange" - Which resulted in Gottwald's disgrace and demotion.

in episode 4 when Lelouch rescued Suzaku from execution by Jeremiah he called him "Orange" (in dub he called Orange a sort of plan) this made it look like Jeremiah was in league with terroists that had killed prince clovis so he lost most of his rank and reputation and people called him "Orange" or "Orange boy" to mock him.
