Maria Sharapova is just unlucky.. :(( She is just not as good as her past (before the injury).. If she still that MaSha, She will absolutely have won more slams in 2009 'n 2010.. Nowadays the competition is not as great as before.. Now no more Mauresmo, Hingis, Davenport, Henin, 'n Strong Venus.. If there were no these people in the Past, Maria Sharapova would have won more Slams than Serena Williams!!!

@Amethyst2401 Oh, common. You don't think Maria Sharapova deserves all the criticism she gets? Name me one multiple grand slam winner goes out in the early rounds as much as she does. And quit blaming it all on injury. She returned last year in May, has had more than enough match practice under her belt, and says her shoulder is fine. I'm not taking jabs at her. I'm honestly concerned about her because it pains me to such a great, talented player who in my mind when has her A game on is still

That being said, I still strongly believe she can start winning more GS's, she just really needs to work on that serve and try to limit unforced errors.

@hawaiianguy2991 Well, we'll see what happens next year. 2009 was excusable but 2010 certainly wasn't. She isn't focussing enough on her tennis, if she was she would have seen improvements in her game but she hasn't. I would have thought that she would have at least cracked the top 10 by now. And unless she does something to fix her game, I don't see this slump ending anytime soon. It's embarrasing that she hasn't even made a grand slam semifinal since winning the 2008 Australian Open.

not, it pains me to see her like this. She will never get her tennis back on track if she continues with all of these unessecary off-court activities. She needs to deicde if whether to her, if her tennis is more important than all of her endorsements, off-court activities, commericials, etc. If she's gonna be a part-time tennis player, she might as well stop being a tennis player and stop embarassing herself on the court.

Disappointing indeed! However, Maria is a very busy "Bee" these days attending not just to her tennis games but the various activities she is involved with... charities, commercials, business endeavors & let's not forget the media interviews, TV appearances etc. Being the highest paid female tennis player in the whole world entails a myriad of activities that affects her game. I doubt very much if 2011 will be different, however, I'm keeping my fingers crossed she will do better!

Wow...what a year 2010 turned out to be for Maria...titles in memphis and strasbourg,runner up at birmingham,stanford,cincinnati­,4th round at wimly and the uso,3rd round indian wells,french open,2nd round at beijing and 1st rounds at the aussie open,madrid,tokyo and withdrawals from miami,charleston,rome,montreal and bali....very disappointing....

@Amethyst2401 You forgot Indian Wells and the French Open. I don't think it's too much to ask for Maria to make a grand slam quarterfinal, is it? I mean, in at least one of the majors? She should've won Birmingham, Stanford, and Cincinnati, and she wouldn't have to face Justine in the 3rd round of the French Open, Serena in the 4th round of WImbledon and Woz in the 4th round of the USO. She was a heavy fav to win the USO, or didn't you know that?
