This is my theme...my teacher gives me an 89 on my project and all of a sudden, this plays over the announcements and my eyes begin to glow red...she backs away and I stand up...I tilt my head to the side and then...lazers shoot out of my eyes and I demolish the school...I sit back down and cross out the 89 with a number 2 pencil and write 90...then...I eat a taco.
@dmh091 There's nothing wrong with the American OST, it's just different to the Japanese music. Don't get mad because you don't know how to use a search bar properly. Try insulting Faulconer's work to his face.

@Opivi There would be various reasons. Maybe they bought the rights to the show but couldn't buy the rights to the music? Maybe they wanted to put their own music? Maybe they knew Faulconer and the team would do a good job. They may not have liked the original soundtrack and thought the show needed a more serious tone.
@Opivi At the time, it was a pretty common thing for a company to try and localize a foreign product to suit their culture such as changing music, character names and etc.
Plus, music royalities would have gotten them even more money for the music that would have played on TV.
Nowadays though, companies like Funimation have more respect for the original product and hardly make any changes to the Anime they dub and plus they haven't changed any Anime soundtrack since Dragon Ball GT.
@Inikalord DBZ music get adapted to the scene....but DBGT music is too much repetitive, and much more harder, in DBZ every character has his own theme, in DBGT there are very few...I have another question, The original Dragon Ball series have different music too? because I found a video and it has the original BGM track.

The music that is abstractly unfitting and doesn't set the mood, atmosphere or scene at all, the music that in which in some scenes doesn't have music at all, not even the slightest piece of background music that keeps the pace. @colltav Actually, I'm not sure who else this would suit. It's too diabolical for 16 and 18, too mechanical sounding to suit Piccolo, and not fast enough or in the right mood to be 17's. It suits 20, it's just that its SO much better than him as a character.

This is my all time favorite DBZ theme. I remember when this played after he ran out of hiding and absorbed Vegeta's massive energy wave. This made the scene all the more epic.

The 19 and 20 saga was one of my favorite parts in dbz mainly because of this music. Watching yamcha get a arm right through him with this playing was shockingly awesome

i find it strange how in the frieza saga freiza is known as the strongest in the universe yet in the span of around 50 years or so there's countless enemies that highly surpass his powers as well as the z warriors... lol i love this series but the time where everyone started getting insanely powerful it got annoying! @futureTFBdunker Thats becuz Buu was in dormant so nobody knew about him. And the androids werent created yet. The saiyans have the power to increase their strength after every battle. Thats the key to their power.
@054martinm It's a good thing he did. I always though 19 and 20 were cool, yet kinda silly. Why would Dr. Gero make an android that looks like a clown and an old man anyway? I'm glad he changed his mind, otherwise, we'd never have 16, 17, 18 and Cell, who I always thought were more interesting. It was also a better twist to introduce those Androids and made it more interesting that way.
@Yabuturtle but i found 19 and 20's entrance to be more creepy and scary than 17 and 18. even in history of trunks, i think 19 made more sense than making the androids teenagers. 19 has more of a fear factor.
@054martinm I found it ironic the Androids that Trunks was talking about didn't do as much damage as the Androids that weren't in his timeline. I liked the teenages part better. Because you'd never suspect them and they'd easily blend in with the crowd. 19 was a huge fat pale man and 20 was an old man with long hair and both of them wore really strange clothes. If I saw 19 and 20, I'd suspect something weird about them, but I wouldn't suspect 17 and 18 since they look normal.
This isn't just a theme for Dr. Gero. This is a theme for Dr. Gero, Androids 19, 18, 17, and cell, and everything they brought with them.... in both timelines.
3 People got a hand through their stomachs =i and 56 people were turned into androids like 16 but had features from 17 and 18 if you consider that a promotion. hehe. Android 20 is awesome and the Ringleader. 19 is the creepy clown that played with Goku. x3, you got 17 and 18 being the acrobats, 16 is their strongman, 15 is a clown as well, 14 is the other strong man, and 13 is their Indian Chief. =o and Cell is the Freakshow, 8 was the Frankenstein. I love the EvilCircus themes they used x3

Dr. Gero is so twisted and has a psycho personality, and to think he hates Goku for something he did for a kid. I never knew beating the RRA would come back to haunt Goku one day, and as a super saiyan.
At first, I didn't think anything of Dr. Gero. With all DBZ villains, they overestimate them, like the Ginyu Force, etc. When Yamcha went to fight Dr. Gero and Android 19, I didn't think anything of it. Maybe just a filler.
But then Dr. Gero ripped through Yamcha's chest and killed him. Then I realized...

Starting at 1 minute is the original Gero theme. I wanted something darker so later on I arranged the stuff you hear at the very beginning (but recycling the beat from the original theme)

This theme is the absolute representation for the villainous, twisted, and genius mind of Dr. Gero. He really is the major bad guy leading up to the Cell Games if you consider he's responsible for all the androids and his bio-mechanical monstrosity. I really view this soundtrack as the theme of the Android - Cell Sagas as a whole, reminding you of who the real mastermind behind all of the leading mayhem is.
The funny thing is that this track was released by Falconer...but you'd never know it lol. It's part of the like 20 something minute long Android Compendium on the Android 18 Tribute album or whatever. But I had to go searching and cutting from that monster track to get this. Good work dude.
This is by far one of the creepiest and coolest songs in DBZ. I seriously get chills when I hear it. I had a nightmare actually because of this song, where all of the DBZ villains teamed up and just destroyed one city after another, leaving nothing but destruction in their path and this theme played. Thanks for uploading it!

toriyama intended 19 and 20 to be the main villains but his editor was like "wtf? an old guy and a clown?" so he changed to 17 and 18

@054martinm It's a good thing he did. I always though 19 and 20 were cool, yet kinda silly. Why would Dr. Gero make an android that looks like a clown and an old man anyway? I'm glad he changed his mind, otherwise, we'd never have 16, 17, 18 and Cell, who I always thought were more interesting. It was also a better twist to introduce those Androids and made it more interesting that way.

@Yabuturtle but i found 19 and 20's entrance to be more creepy and scary than 17 and 18. even in history of trunks, i think 19 made more sense than making the androids teenagers. 19 has more of a fear factor.

@054martinm I found it ironic the Androids that Trunks was talking about didn't do as much damage as the Androids that weren't in his timeline. I liked the teenages part better. Because you'd never suspect them and they'd easily blend in with the crowd. 19 was a huge fat pale man and 20 was an old man with long hair and both of them wore really strange clothes. If I saw 19 and 20, I'd suspect something weird about them, but I wouldn't suspect 17 and 18 since they look normal.

This isn't just a theme for Dr. Gero. This is a theme for Dr. Gero, Androids 19, 18, 17, and cell, and everything they brought with them.... in both timelines.

3 People got a hand through their stomachs =i and 56 people were turned into androids like 16 but had features from 17 and 18 if you consider that a promotion. hehe. Android 20 is awesome and the Ringleader. 19 is the creepy clown that played with Goku. x3, you got 17 and 18 being the acrobats, 16 is their strongman, 15 is a clown as well, 14 is the other strong man, and 13 is their Indian Chief. =o and Cell is the Freakshow, 8 was the Frankenstein. I love the EvilCircus themes they used x3

Dr. Gero is so twisted and has a psycho personality, and to think he hates Goku for something he did for a kid. I never knew beating the RRA would come back to haunt Goku one day, and as a super saiyan.

At first, I didn't think anything of Dr. Gero. With all DBZ villains, they overestimate them, like the Ginyu Force, etc. When Yamcha went to fight Dr. Gero and Android 19, I didn't think anything of it. Maybe just a filler.
But then Dr. Gero ripped through Yamcha's chest and killed him. Then I realized...
Dr. Gero was as strong as they said he was. :(

@JukainPwnsSurvives thats such a fanon name. cell is just that- Cell... hes not even an Android in the traditional sense... hes completly organic. the only numbered models are #8-#20 (and even then we don't see #9-12)

This theme is the absolute representation for the villainous, twisted, and genius mind of Dr. Gero. He really is the major bad guy leading up to the Cell Games if you consider he's responsible for all the androids and his bio-mechanical monstrosity. I really view this soundtrack as the theme of the Android - Cell Sagas as a whole, reminding you of who the real mastermind behind all of the leading mayhem is.

The funny thing is that this track was released by Falconer...but you'd never know it lol. It's part of the like 20 something minute long Android Compendium on the Android 18 Tribute album or whatever. But I had to go searching and cutting from that monster track to get this. Good work dude.

This is by far one of the creepiest and coolest songs in DBZ. I seriously get chills when I hear it. I had a nightmare actually because of this song, where all of the DBZ villains teamed up and just destroyed one city after another, leaving nothing but destruction in their path and this theme played. Thanks for uploading it!
