I always wonder how they are allow to make this kind of movies. I think the people that make this movies are more sick than the real killers, for participating in this movie. Enjoy your perverted, sick movies.
I saw this in the theatre when I was only 9 years-old and it scared the bageebers out of me. I have never forgotten it , but when I ask anyone else if they ever heard of it (although I never could remember the name), no one knew about it. I think it gave me post tramatic stress syndrom LOL
My claim to fame is that when I was a tiny tot Peter Cushing, Sue Lloyd and another actress came to stay at The hotel my parents ran on the Devon Moors and they used me in the film, apparantly only a tiny snippet on the train. I have never seen it as whenever it was on tv I was too young to stay up and watch it. It does look hilarious though I also laughed at the use of "Valise" but at least I knew what it was.lol
I`ve never seen this movie but I`d love to. Peter Cushing was a marvelous actor, rather underrated and unknown though (here in Finland, that is). I hope he got the recognition he deserved in England. :) He`s the best horror actor ever, even though I also like Bela Lugosi, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and nowadays even Christopher Lee. :)
...in a valise?!! My immediate reaction was WTF is a valise? Because I'm ignorant I had to google that fucker and apparently a valise is a small overnight traveling case. That would be pretty horrible I guess.
Oh, Peter...how I adore you, you loveable old villain. And sometimes Sherlock Holmes. Hmm...
*recalls Hammer Film's "The Curse Of Frankenstein" and "The Hound Of The Baskervilles" with great fondness*
Why can't horror films, scratch that, FILMS be good anymore? I suppose I know why, really, but still - I can't help but wonder. An interesting and unique movie is made occasionally, but their numbers are fewer than ever...
I saw this movie at the drive in when I was like 8 years old and have wanted to see it again for the past 10 years! I can't believe I found this trailer here on you tube...gosh if you like classics and scary movies you need to see this...its stuck with me for 40 years!
It's not bad, but the Spanish DVD release has a few cuts in it, with the first murder completely taken out when cushing's character goes to find a live subject, being a prostitute!
The world today is mostly being ruled by the community not giving the right to a common man to survive even with the basic necessities of life whether making his religion or poverty an issue. The result is before everyone in the form of dis-ease resulting mostly in suicides, involving suicide bombing later on being termed as extremism or terrorism etc. Unless the rule of providing each individual with the basic necessities of life isn't applied the reaction named extremism or terrorism wont end.
I see some similarities to the DON'T trailer, made by Edgar Wright for Grindhouse. This trailer (or maybe the movie as well) must have been one of Wright's influences for his trailer. And well, since it's British ;)
I've wanted this on vhs or dvd for years but no luck, saw it about 35 years ago on tv.Maybe we'll get a dvd soon. The plot is similar to the French film 'Eyes Without A Face' but with a few different twists.
Holy crap! Gentleman gone psycho sugar daddy??? Nooooo! My world is shattering!!! The pain.... (I would say something like, "next thing you know, you'll be seeing Cushing in a movie like Hostel" but we're safe because he's in a better place, now. hahaha)
really. or i guess that was the point? can you upload anything about "demons of the mind" (1972 w/patrick magee), "paranoiac" (1963 w/oliver reed), "blue sunshine" ('76 - ?upload the whole thing), "deathdream" (bob clark, 1972 i think - ?the whole thing), "mumsy, nanny, sonny and girly" (freddie francis, 1959), "nightwing" (1979- dir.arthur hiller w/david warner, strother martin), "nightmare"(freddie francis,1964) "kiss of the vampire" (['62 w/noel willman? the whole thing or climactic scene)?
I love the ending of this trailer. It's insane!
