Good vid man ! I got a question tho... can I put this type of vacuum pump p/s pump combo on a first get 5.9? It has the big diaphragms on the top & bottom of my vacuum pump and the both get in the way of my steering shaft (motor isn't in a truck i did a swap into my 1950 dodge sedan) so I wanna put a newer style p/s pump and vacuum pump on to open that space up... But basically I'm askin if the new one (94+) will fit my 91 motor?
@red93yj They just generate vacuum for your HVAC controls, 4X4, etc. Diesels aren't like gas engines. They don't have a throttle butterfly. The injection pump does the work of that by directly injecting the fuel and then it gets squished and the compression ignites it.
A bit of advice for you'r cummin's, put a transmission cooler on the low pressure side, it work's very well. For some reason the they run very hot and I have done this to several of them. Hope you find this useful.

@A50FREAK I wish I knew for sure to be able to tell you. Unfortunately I don't don't know, but I have my doubts due to drive origin.

Brian, were these seals inside the vacuum pump the direct reason for the crankcase pressure, causing the blowby? thanks.

@Jerroh6 Will do.

Diesels don't have engine vacuum because there is no throttle butterfly - it's just an open shot to the valves all the time.
