  • Thats not the reason it dog proof is it wont set.. Its beacuse it has to pull up and only a coon or opossum will grap and pull up

  • Great Video!

  • im getting 6 of these! how big is the opening they have to reach into? and is it big enought to catch a monster 30 pound coon?

  • a racoon chewed through the rope i was using that tied down my leg hold trap.and took of with my trap on its leg.usually i use a chain to tie it down.

  • @22superhunter your a dumbass for using rope

  • ya i kinda figured tht:)

  • @22superhunter never ever use rope its a good way to lose a coon also it makes the coon suffer

  • @TheNebraskaOutdoors not to be smart or anything, but how does it make the coon suffer seems intresting:)

  • @22superhunter if a coon has a trap on its leg after it chewed thro ur rope it will suffer

  • do they relly work.

  • do you wire the trap to a tree? cause i was thinkin the coon would break the wire!

  • @MrSummersj i wire it to a stake and drive it into the ground i use bailing wire works great iv never ever lost a coon or anything

  • @TheNebraskaOutdoors ok. i was thinkin about gettting a few but they are preety expensive

  • @MrSummersj they are only 12 bucks and if you sell the fur they will pay for themselves in 2 coon each

  • @TheNebraskaOutdoors true! my sezson is over now so im going to wait to get them to see if the price goes down in the summer

  • @MrSummersj look for used ones or ebay thats where i find good prices

  • @MrSummersj mr.summers was the name of my 4th grade art teacher.

  • @22superhunter thats cool

  • @MrSummersj were could i find this trap at.Couse i cant seem 2 find any.

  • @22superhunter look online like fnt post murrays lures also you local fur buyer if hes big or gander mt i think

  • @22superhunter you can get them at "f and t trapping website" or "pcs outoodrs trapping site"

  • @MrSummersj o thanks.

  • @22superhunter no problem

  • Thanks

  • I'd rather buy the Duke Dog proofs then the "lil griz".... which are double the price and basically the exact same trap as the Duke.

What I find with the dog proffs is to use a 8" piece of 1"x 2" to make sure the coon don't tip it over. Plastic zip tie it around the trap, carefully not to wrap the trigger in too. If the Duke dog proof trap tips over... the coon will walk on by it....just leave it alone!

  • @79Testo mine never fall over the duke vsion is way better trap the stake is better and wont break off as easy

  • thanks for the video. i definitley need to get a few of these. do you put the bait in prior to or after setting it?

  • @MrAntsy25 you can do both i prefer putting a marshmallow under the trigger it helps by not having misses but don't put big bait in after its set or they will steal it right away the traps are about 12 bucks
