lol..a stock C6 Z06 would still beat the ford GT..its lighter and has a quicker 1/4 mile time..i have seen the Vette run a 11 flat...and the GT runs 11.7...check my videos..u will see it
In terms of value for money the 'Vette wins hands-down. Stock for stock the two cars are relatively close in performance, but once price is factored in the GT can't compete.
Stop making yourself look dumb, he was talking about rwhp. I dispute his numbers but his conclusion is correct, the Z06 is much lighter and thus has a better power to weight ratio. However these cars are VERY close in comparison (1/4 mi) and the Mid-Engine GT would launch much better than the Z06. Still none of these things mean anything significant except bragging rights.
If they were stock it would be a close race, but the mods gave the Z06 gauranteed victory. 488 hp vs 453 for stock vette rwhp and 535 for GT. The GT lost because its 3445 lb and the vette is 3196. Still cool to see 3 nice cars in one spot. Too bad no Vipers were around.
the Ford GT probably has closer to 490 hp at the wheels not 535 that would only be like a 15 hp loss from crank to wheels. but your point is felt. basically equal hp at the wheels of both cars, tuned or not this Vette won and the Z06 is one bad car.
i dont think they look that bad there just low and long cars

if they were both in a real race the gt40 would have won cus it has more top speed and goes around turns better.
was that vette modified at all? it's still hard to beleive the vette won that. i guess it's light weight was enough for it to win that one
