He has absolutely not ties to the UK parliament. Recently the UK parliament asked him to refrain from using the title to confuse people into believing he was from the UK parliament. There's a letter sent out (from UK) to say we want nothing to do with him, he's acting on his own. thats all. :)

Lambert demonstrated clearly that Monckton was misrepresenting Rachel Pinker's paper on climate sensitivity. To remove any doubt, Lambert wrote to Pinker herself and she also spelled this out. Despite this Monckton later went before congress and again knowingly gave his false interpretation of Pinker's paper. This time Dr Pinker had to write to congress to again set the record straight.

Yes, animals do thrive in warmer areas of the planet. Look at Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO), the marine ecosystem thrives best in the warmer part of the ocean due to more plankton, which in turn has a positive impact further up the food chain.

@kazearaki Professor Wegman, who presided over a debate about climategate, himself identified 42 people whom he knew to be publishing together and peer-reviewing each other's literature. These people have control over their own process that's why they push peer-review. Do you even know what it is? It's an editorial process. It's more important to have the community reproduce your experiments. I don't have to link you anything the info is freely available just open your damned eyes.

Of course the sea level has risen, at an average rate of ~ 3 mm/a within the last decade (Ref.: Church and White, 2006; Church et al., 2008; Gehrels, 2006; University of Colorado - satellite data), and long term data shows that it's accelarating (Church et al., 2008).
And no one doubts that climate change is a fact for 4 billion years. But this time it is man made and more rapid than ever before, that's the difference.

The MWP was not caused by greenhouse gases, but by an increased solar radiation and reduced volcano activity.
