At ROH Driven in 2007, Danielson and KENTA faced off 1-on-1 for the first time since the American Dragon defeated KENTA to retain the ROH World Championship at Glory By Honor 2006.

In the Driven match, both guys used the other person's finishing move on each other(KENTA used the Cattle Mutilation, Danielson the Go 2 Sleep).

Wow. I've heard of Danielson, I know Wrestling Observer has awarded him best technical wrestler and most outstanding wrestler,so he must be good. I've been watching some of his videos and WOW he is great!!! I hope he gets pushed in WWE, because i honestly see a lot of Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit in Danielson (two of the greatest technical/pure wrestlers to ever grace WWE and unfortunately are no longer with them). He's got great talent, i can't wait to see what he can do in WWE

I've never heard of him until NXT, but as soon as the match started against Jericho I looked to my girlfriend and said "He reminds me of Chris Benoit... a lot" He most definitely has awesome potential. I'll vote for him! Aside from Miz and Jericho, I do believe he is my favorite wrestler out there.

I actully think that Bret Hart is extremely overrated. He was a good wrestler back in the early 90s but in my opinion, he is not on the same level as Benoit, Danielson, Angle, Liger and others in terms of technical ability. I personally think that his brother Owen was better then Bret ever was (watch Owen Hart vs. Jushin Liger on youtube, GREAT MATCH)....

What is technical ability? Chaining moves together? Knowing a lot of submissions? Bret was good at making everyone he faced look good. Take a look at what his match at WM 13 did to Stone Cold's Career. He wrestled well with big men, small guys, and he wrestled different as a heel and as a face. One thing he can't do is cut a good promo.

Of course, CM Punk is a great wrestler, an over-all talent, but he is just being depicted very weak by the WWE. He hasn't won for a long time and if he did, it was no clean victory.. he had his 3 title runs and now he's stuck somewhere in midcard or higher midcard...

you're missing the point, I think. :-) Yes, it's about spectacle, Yes, the expectation of the match is premeditated. Yes, the moves are trained not to fully hurt eachother. BUT there's a degree of competition. You could compare it with the movies industry: the better actor gets the better role. In pro-wrestling it means, moves, diversity, good acting, insight for in-ring action to create a great match for the fans... I would describe pro-wrestling as "performance-sports".
