  • I still recommend the Shibuya store. Obviously because they handle a large volume of foreign customers. But they are also likely to be much more prepared to handle scenarios such as yours. My experience there was far more satisfactory than any other Softbank store. In my eyes, they made the English-speaking staff at the Omotesando store look like a bunch of trainees.

  • I would take my business elsewhere.

  • Does softbank have such a monopoly that this is all worth it? If I got this BS I would just take my business elsewhere (assuming there is an elsewhere).

  • so lame!! I was really expecting this to work out. I think the thing that makes me most angry is that they wouldnt even tell you why. Its like a natureal urge to want to know why someone's not helping you lol.

  • My husband says he gets a lot of foreign (Chinese especially) businessmen who work in Japan and have similar problems getting iPhones... They come to the US and purchase unlocked phones and switch out the microSIM cards. So...unfortunately, Japan just must not like foreigners purchasing phones over there. I'm sorry you're having trouble. :/
