  • I think you should upload ever horizon

  • Not quite Jeff Loomis, but very interesting.

  • Reminds me a lot of Jeff Loomis solo albums mixed with John Petrucci's. Love it :D

  • I'm going to listen to your music as much as possible and hope it rubs off on me, from playing to dialing guitar tones, mixing, etc. One of the best albums I've heard in a while. How do you get that lead sound? Almost sounds like really good compressor into an amp attenuated, maybe like the way Satriani does with speaker sims and mic'd sounds mixed together. Anyway I love it.

  • Hi and thanks for your nice comment!

The lead guitar sound on this track is a Carvin DC145 with Dimarzio pickups directly into my POS amp. No compressor, no effects except from a slight after-touch of a stereo delay.

  • @jarleholsen I miss my Carvin DC400, I never got to plug it into a real amp. I put Dimarzios in it but never got the sound I wanted without Eq-ing of the lows (Evolution pickups). What DiMarzios do you use?

  • @Whyrendog - Various models, but on this track I believe I used Evolution bridge and Paf Pro neck.

  • @jarleholsen Thanks. Love that neck pickup sound. Your picking technique and dynamics are the best I've heard and certainly contribute to the overall sound.

  • @Whyrendog Agreed completely with this statement. Jarle's picking precision is incredible, and the articulations are beautiful. Amazing work!!! The production as well is just unbelievable.. Jarle, if you see this, what microphone did you use on your cabinet??

  • Thanks for your nice comment! I used a standard SM57 close up and a Neumann a bit more distanced.

  • Awesome theme, keeping up Jarle.

  • Amazing song! I really can't wait buy the cd in Chile!

    Cheers!

  • @NanesGuitar15 el cd se puede comprar en solocuerdas.cl/

  • @DaTiTa Gracias por recordarmelo, ahora me acorde de que se cambio el Rodrigo de lugar al Crown Plaza.

  • sweet!!!

  • Get Jorn Lande on vocals and you are going to be the next king of progressive metal, after Dream Theater!

  • Awesomness with a capital A!

  • sounds awesome, just bought the album

  • That's one of the tightest guitar tones I've ever heard!
