this happens to me in call of duty 4.it freezes at 20 minutes or sometimes more.id i do the same that you did for battlefield bad company 2 it should work.also i play battlefield 3 and modern warfare 3 with no problems. plz if you can tell me what to do.

Install ATI tray and in the overclock tab, change the voltage to anything above 0.9....If not, the card tries to go into "GREEN MODE" and drops voltage on you ingame and locks the computer up. I brought all my setting back up and installed all my software back and still no freezing in DX11 for a few months....

@r3asons You can also overclock it with CCC for about 10 ~ 20 mhz (no worries it wil be safe) to make it stay at ful ckockspeed and not go in Green mode(voltage will also get some higher) when no loads are they card will get may 1 ~ 4* hotter but thats oke.

@ultragaming1993 I have the Powercooler + model of the 5770...my clocks are at 875/1225....if I try and overclock anything even 10 mhz....it becomes very unstable and crashes...Im looking for a bios update (asus maybe) for my card...maybe that will fix it...Im having system mismatch errors, trying to find a fix....and force flashing is not an option for me. Any help? Thanks guys

STEP 1: disable "AMD High Definition audio" in device manager (Sound, video and games)

STEP 2: google " sfc/scannow ". To try it, go to Start>Accessories>Command Prompt (run as administrator (right mouse click)) make sure it says C:/windows/system32 in Command Prompt, then type sfc/scannow and leave it to finish, restart & play the game

@mohican321 I know what you problem was some of your system files went corrupt.. And thats may not the possible fix for this.. Most games will not even work with such a problem as you had.. But anyways this problem is just a conflict between the onboard driver and the gpu audio device.. Not really a "conflict" but becuz it's a problem of bfbc2 itself it will just have a conflict.. It's the software.

I tried it for APB and It didn't work for me!:( After few minutes the game and the sound freezes too.

I hope somebody could help with it!

I think my PC is ideal for the game:

I5 650 3.2 ghz

4gb ram

HD 4850

WIN 7 64bit

It s working for my friend, one of them got the same realtek audio device and it runs perfectly for him, the others got the same vid card and of course it works .

I'll try to download the latest realtek audio software I hope it will work...:S

@tboyka1 No thats not the problem. Search for something that is hooked up to the sound driver, sush like a voice changer.. That can may be the problem of the crash.

@ultragaming1993 I didn't use anything else just the APB and the sky .After few minutes It is freezing down and I can't do anything just restart the PC manually.

@ultragaming1993 Unfortuantly for me, i already had that disabled too for some reason, but when i enable it for apb it still freeze's.

So to all people with the same issue, my advice is either buy a cheap little PCI sound card, or usb. Or (somehow) try and find a custom driver for your onboard audio. It seems to be related to realtek audio onboard.

Luckily for me i have a spare pci soundcard, and thats the only way i can play stable with sound. :)

@ultragaming1993 That's my issue, it's my on-board audio device that causes the crash, and apparently so does the amd hd audio, So instead now i use a DVI cable for video * no loss in image quality * and use a spare pci card for audio and it works :D

Het werkt nog niet, ik heb device manager alle Nvidia High Definition Audio's uitgezet maar ik krijg nogsteeds freeze ingame na een paar minuten.

@RuckasNuckaa dat hielp niet bij heel veel mensen. Dus dit is voor mij al de 4e persoon die met deze "fix" BFBC2 gefixt heeft dus dan ligt het waarschijnlijk toch aan de hardware denk ik. (en niet de software)

@markdelauwste lol snap het dan met deze manier heb ik het probleem voor 3 mensen gefixt. En je hoeft je audio niet eens naar 16-bit te zetten want dat is niet nodig.

@TheDrOctupus No nothing wil be lower in quality. It wil just turn off your gpu audio driver. (what is useless in 90% of the time.) Only not if you use it.
