When I started toying around with my '05 f-350, i put a chip and 6in pipes, that got me about 490 hp. and I was laying 3x that and mine is a dully. Well a set of twin turbos, injectors, cam & springs, & and a lot better chip later, im getting a tad bit over 900 Hp and running 9.5's - 10's in a 1/4 at about 135mph...this is no 500hp

If you had the slightest clue to what you are talking about you would know 12 valve Cummins is the motor to brag about. yeahh umm right. the 24 valves are just as good as long as you keep the VP alive with at least 15 inlet psi because its a fuel lubed pump. the 12 valves have oil lubed injection pumps which are more reliable. sure for the most HP i'd no doubt go with a 12 valve but for the absolute most hp i'd go with a P-pumped 24valve....and if you had, say a 800hp 12valve and a 800 24valve, the 24valve would be light years ahead in drive ability, both have the pros and cons but are still the best=CUMMINS!!!!!
