@letempdoitdir - the catholic priests (some not all) did. they are human and subject to doing things wrong. they will be held accountable by God for what they did. they should have been punished by the Church but the church tried to keep it out of the public eye. those that did that will be held accountable too. we all will be held accountable for what we do on this earth. this is not what the Bible teaches though.

I'm an Atheist but I don't any any issue with people believing in what or who they want. I also consider myself to be a Republican Conservative. I don't know how religion and politics ever became one in the same but one should have nothing to do with the other. All throughout history Christians and the catholic church have been judging people with different beliefs. Don't believe me? Explain 'The Inquisition' during the 12th and 13th centuries. Science has so much proof of evolution and all throughout history the catholic church has been trying to refute that proof by censoring those that would speak against the church in numerous ways but they can't anymore so they adopted Creationism. @letempdoitdir - the catholic priests (some not all) did. they are human and subject to doing things wrong. they will be held accountable by God for what they did. they should have been punished by the Church but the church tried to keep it out of the public eye. those that did that will be held accountable too. we all will be held accountable for what we do on this earth. this is not what the Bible teaches though.

@letempdoitdir **continued** when we sin we are to ask forgiveness of God and who we sinned against and never do it again. if we break a law then we are to serve the same punishment as anyone else but we also know that we are accountable to God. being a Christian does not exempt you from being a human and making mistakes but you should be convicted in your heart and make it right and repent and not repeat it.

I'm an Atheist but I don't any any issue with people believing in what or who they want. I also consider myself to be a Republican Conservative. I don't know how religion and politics ever became one in the same but one should have nothing to do with the other. All throughout history Christians and the catholic church have been judging people with different beliefs. Don't believe me? Explain 'The Inquisition' during the 12th and 13th centuries. Science has so much proof of evolution and all throughout history the catholic church has been trying to refute that proof by censoring those that would speak against the church in numerous ways but they can't anymore so they adopted Creationism. I have been judged by more Christians than all others combined.

Blasphemy is informed and intentional action. That means you truly understand what you're doing. Luckily for these bible burners, what they are burning is paper and ink...and they don't even understand that! They think they are symbolically snuffing out our message (which they also don't understand), but in the end it's just burning PAPER, INK, AND WHAT THEY THINK ("Look at meee!"). Guys, I love you and you are certainly not beyond redemption. But right now, I don't like you.

The Holy Spirit can be QUENCHED.
The Holy Spirit can be QUIETED.
The Holy Spirit can be GRIEVED.
The Holy Spirit can be INSULTED.
Those are forgivable.
Then the Holy Spirit can be blasphemed....which is unforgivable. A person good of heart, atheist or not, who sees the work of the Holy Spirit is not likely to blaspheme it. They are not likely to attribute the work to the Holy Spirit, but they will know that it is good, nonetheless.

The beginning part makes me angry and upset. It isn't the people themselves that I am angry at. No one is beyond redemption. It's the fact that despite the epic message of love and salvation that they've probably received multiple times, they reject it outright. But they don't stop there...they choose to hate it. They are lost, and that makes me upset.....

just for the record it is not a mosque it is an Islamic cultural center( kind of lime a ymca) and the top floor is for prayer. furthermore it is not "on" ground zero it is four new york city blocks away and in case you where wondering no i am not a muslim. I am atheist .

I'm an atheist, a libertarian atheist. I respect others beliefs (or lack thereof), as long as they do not infringe on mine. I agree that liberal atheists are hypocritical mofos. They curse Christianity every chance they get, but bend over backwards to give Muslims a complementary blowjob.

Almost perfect Zo. But not grieving the Holy Spirit is not the same as getting saved. Those 9-11 terrorists probably ARE in hell, unless of course they were saved at some point in their lives and for some strange reason turned back to fundamental Islam.
