  • Im going to the one in 2013 as a reenactor and I was wondering if you have to bring your own cooking supplies or if they feed u.

  • Is everyone around Individuo5293 as rude and course as he? He must be from some liberal democrat compound up around Washington. Pathetic individual and reenactor.

  • Fuck the Confederacy.

    Liberty or death!

  • Kewl I always wanted to see one of these. lol History is suddenly interesting when brought back to life.

  • Our Battalion, was repelled at the wall several times, I died at the crossing of the creek.

    Pvt.David Blackmon, 23rd South Carolina.

    Palmetto Battalion.

  • i am in the 10th NY Heavy Artillery and this was the first time i was at Gettysburg. Our cannons were extremely loud but we were definitely out boomed by the 24 pound bronze firing off 2lb. rounds.

  • listen i have absolutely no idea how reenacting works. could somebody please tell me how it is decided who dies?

  • I've asked that same question myself... and I haven't a clue. :-\ I just go see the reenactments. lol

  • @untameddoll

you just have to die when you want...your not assigned when to die you just do it hwne u get tired.

  • whenever you get tired pretty much im new to reenacting and didnt get to go to that one but i get to go in 2013

  • History did. Do what happend some hundred years ago. Than you are reenacting. Simple?

  • In the reenactments that the public are allowed to see for the most part, the reenactor decides when he dies. There are many reasons; tired of walking, low on ammo, want to take a nap, no one is dying so someone falling keeps the public interested, your in a good spot to take pictures without the public seeing the camera, don't feel like trying to cross an barrier/terrain ahead (Gettysburg i.e. the creek). My reason most of the time is that my unit is retreating and I don't want to leave.

  • I am the drummer boy at the reenactment of Columbus Bellmont. how it is decided who dies is you volunteer to die at some point and a cetain cuw tells you when to fall and die. for example the 25th cannon blast was my cue to die this year. i died 30 seconds after the 25th cannon blast

  • GREAT EVENT guys... from the 10th ANV, we had a great time! Left Wing displayed better enfilading fire!

Hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Pvt. Mavin 21st Mississippi, Co. D Jeff Davis Guard

  • Oh very cool! And thank you, because if it wasn't for all of you reenactors I, and the thousands of people who went, wouldn't have been able to see this. I really appreciate what you all do. :)
