I agree. I didn't think it sounded dismissive at all, but you can't really expect Ben to take that shit after being patient for so long - not to mention all the sacrifices he made for The Island. I'd be pretty pissed if I got the shit kicked out of me all the time, had my daughter killed, then had to be Locke's bitch just to have Jacob wave me off, all "wtfever." (Even if that wasn't his intention.)

Anyway, yeah. I can't help but feel bad for Ben in this scene.

I think the "They" in the "they are coming." line is refering to the past characters. Most of the people in the past were on Jacob's "Good" list(If that actually was Jacob's list).

They are the keys to defeating the "enemy" and are now returning despit having been sent back through the enemy's manipulation of Locke.

I think Jacob and his nemesis (John in this clip) have a Yin and Yang sort of thing going on. And now that Jacob has been killed, the island will be thrown off balance in some way.

AND I think Jacob has done his share of bad things on the island. I don't think every negative thing to happen on the island is a result of the nemesis's doing. Possibly Jacob is the black smoke sometimes. Maybe they both are. John did say he saw the smoke monster in a white light, and it was beautiful. Hmm...

In my opinion this was the best season.. it's a shame not many of the original fans have stuck around to see it. I liken ABC's marketing strategies to that of Sony...make a great product but don't know what to do with it. I assume this is an extremely expensive show to keep on the air..possibly those are the reasons ABC asked the creator, a couple years back, to wrap it up next year. Hopefully it will at least spawn spin-offs...each character is interesting enough to have his or her own show.

It was ABC's idea to shorten the season and have 6 season all together. All this was done in the middle of the 3rd season.

It is the smoke monster...and what's more funny is that we've been aware of the main villain since the very first episode...it's like in 12 Monkeys, we see the guy who causes the outbreak early on but don't realize it till it's to late...the monster used the images of Ben's daughter and Locke...pretty much the only two people Ben trusted. Nobody was using Locke's body...the body was in the box the entire episode and Locke's been dead ever since Ben strangled him, dead is dead...

(He told Jacob he will find his loophole, and after that he would kill him, and before Ben kills Jacob, Jacob tells "Locke" that "YOU FOUND YOUR LOOPHOLE, Locke says indeed i did, and then Bens ask if they knew eachother, Locke sasy in a menor of speaking! I think he used the image of Locke...not the actual body but yeah the result was the same...both Ben and Locke were manipulated and used by the monster in some way to kill Jacob. Personally I thought it was one of if not THE best Lost episode ever...they gave half the show's answers and finally revealed who the main villain of the series is. Fantastic final and I can't wait for Season 6

so essentially Jacob was special and since he is dead...he can no longer hold back the powers that be...dead is dead, we saw him die. But he did warn the monster that Jack, Kate and Sawyer were coming back and it looked scared so we can assume that season 6 deals with killing the smoke monster...the producers said that 'what the monster is, is something that will come up in the series final'...Jacob's role is done, he had only 1 weakness and the monster exploited it.

I was wondering that too! Richard had admitted this much to Locke that the reason he never ages is because of Jacob. Maybe Jacob knew his end but then there indeed was progress, remember Christian speaks on behalf of Jacob!!! Who knows that Christain will be the new guardian of the Island, the one whom the leader must answer to. Remember there can only be one leader of the island!

Christian was a dead body(Jack & claire's father) who was on 1st plane crash.He spoke 2 Locke in the cabin & told him 2 move island . Christain's sorta the undead version of something (we don't know yet) just as Locke came back as an undead version of bad guy (who wants 2 kill Jacob.Locke came thru a loopehole but Christain came 1st as something? Ther can only be 1 leader, maybe this is y Jacob's sad- a battle is coming, b/w good & evil.

John Locke has been dead since' the Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham,' The person we thought to be Locke when 316 landed on the Island was the smoke monster or the man Jacob was talking to at the start of the episode...John Locke would never kill Jacob...Mr. X (while in the form of Locke) told Richard to pass on the news that Locke had to die. This got him out of the way because Locke was going to help Jacob and Mr. X used Ben along with the loop hole in time to finally kill Jacob...IMO

The Monster is Jacob's enemy...we know the enemy took Locke's form even though Locke was in the box the whole time...and what else can take numerous forms?...The Monster took Yemi's form before killing Eko...the Monster took the form of Alex and said to listen to Locke or Ben would be killed...which was fine and everything except the Monster was the one that sent Locke back to die...then he would be out of the way to manipulate Ben and kill Jacob...the loop hole.
