They also stopped playing 'A Small Victory' & 'Falling To Pieces' around the same time but pulled them out again once or twice when they reformed. Not this song though, shame as it's the song that got me into FNM and I would've loved to have seen it live during the reunion.

FNM and RHCP are only being compared by the genre they encompass. Mike Patton alone is a separate entity/monster in itself because he is a musical genius in the sense of diversity, lyrics, and the fact that he's always a step ahead of himself. However, to say RHCP is one dimensional and predictable/boring would be a smack in probably one of the only other rare gem of a band's face!! Music is music, either you dig it or you don't.

Why are people still comparing them? RHCP were a band who were interesting in the 80's but that was it. They play funk rock that's all! FNM have been called Alternative Metal kings and they are very experimental. FNM is a band with underrated musicians and have one of the best vocalist of all time. They can be heavy, or they can be whatever they want. RHCP have been the same since forever. They did nothing new. Billy Gould also can put Flea to shame.

billy is a bassist who has truly perfected the art of working within the instrumentation of FNM and their songs (vox, guitar, keys, drums) he does whats needed and what suits the song. i saw FNM recently and could not take my eyes off gould and bordin. one of the tightest ryhthm sections EVER. cant say the same for chili peppers when i saw them live.
