There is no indication from the creator stating that GT is non canon, my interpretation tells me that it is an alternate universe, so in a sense it's non canon. That's how I think, but you can see it however you like.
People who dub anime need to learn that not everything needs background music. The parts of this with no music are way more powerful than having generic techno-y rock music in the background.
This is a beautiful scene as well as a powerful one. I loved 16's speech as delivered by Hikaru Midorikawa (the English dub's robot voice was silly) and the silence that followed Cell crushing 16's head really made the scene a lot more impactful. The symbolism is also great: the bird represents not only 16's death, but also Gohan's peaceful nature flying away so that his murderous Super Saiyan 2 fury may take its place.
One of the best scenes I've seen anywhere. Simply epic.
Fuck you Funimation for ruining this scene by 1) Replacing the epic song with shit synthesizer music 2) Dubbing over the part where Gohan is speechless with extraneous Dialog 3) Eschewing all mentions of the birds from 16's speech and killing the symbolism of the bird flying across his face.

I agree with the other commenters that this is infinitely better than any dubbed version, especially the craptastic American one. In general, all the music of DBZ, both songs and BGMs, were just so much more impressive in the original version.
And as for your question, I don't know for sure but I don't think it would capture with subs, as it's a Youtube feature instead of the subs being in the actual video :)
@metragoon The Sons' voice actress is a much better fit than the American voice actors for any of them. And the good thing is she reprised her roles in Dragon Ball Kai as well, despite being a certain advanced age.

The scene when Gohan turns ssj2 in original is 100 times better than same thing made by studio responisble for english dubb and soundtracks.
Also, the silence was a lot of better without Gohan and his monologue. The US dub had sooo much talking. I think the dubbing is more accurate in Kai, but that doesn't excuse them for the first dubbing.

@stanthecanadianman I actually really liked the English Funi one a lot better. I loved how the theme started right as the ground cracked. But nothing compares to this scream. Even though Funi dub's Gohan was really, really, good too.

Fat buu had a set power after it was reduced by dai kaio. He could only achieve the max of that reduced power by getting very angry. When super buu was born, he was evil and can now achieve that max reduced power without the need to get angry hence super buu is stronger than fat buu. Kid buu is without restraint, the kai's are gone which means the things that weakened him are gone. Kid buu > super buu

@SkinForSkins you can't blame americans for their lack of good taste. Perhaps they are unable to provide suitable actors for english dubb. God... I just hate to watch anime with those stupid english voiceovers. The scene when Gohan turns ssj2 in original is 100 times better than same thing made by studio responisble for english dubb and soundtracks.

Also, the silence was a lot of better without Gohan and his monologue. The US dub had sooo much talking. I think the dubbing is more accurate in Kai, but that doesn't excuse them for the first dubbing.

@stanthecanadianman I actually really liked the English Funi one a lot better. I loved how the theme started right as the ground cracked. But nothing compares to this scream. Even though Funi dub's Gohan was really, really, good too.

I like how in Japan they don't edit out the blood and gore, as the anime is actually intended for a mature audience, rather than kids like in the US and Europe. This version is superior.

@pakl123456 Calling "evil buu=kid buu" a fact, is not really a fact, it's just your own interpretation. All the sources that talk about majin boo never mention the grey boo and pure boo as equals. Only fans assume that (which is completely false). I use statements from the japanese anime and the manga, not speculation. It only states that grey boo (pure evil boo), is the expulsion of fat boo's rage, not pure boo himself.

Fat buu had a set power after it was reduced by dai kaio. He could only achieve the max of that reduced power by getting very angry. When super buu was born, he was evil and can now achieve that max reduced power without the need to get angry hence super buu is stronger than fat buu. Kid buu is without restraint, the kai's are gone which means the things that weakened him are gone. Kid buu > super buu

@pakl123456 Super buu does have the kai influence in him as can be seen when we see good buu in him. There is a reason why the kai's call kid buu pure. Because there is no one in him. Daizenshuu states that gotenks is weaker than vegeta pre rosat and only surpasses him (NOT Goku) post rosat (makes sense cuz gotenks can go ssj3). The daizenshuu also states Goku is the pure strongest and he is #1. Vegeta said the same thing when Goku fought kid buu

He wished he had the daizenshuu when he made his manga. The anime also had toriyama involved. The main points in the anime are still the same as manga. The manga, anime, and daizenshuu all agree with each other. You don't like them because they contradict your idea (which is wrong). So official sources > your math/ideas

@pakl123456 I'll give it a read and reply. When super buu was alive he never said he was the strongest. The moment he became buutenks, he states he was the strongest. So only when he became buutenks was he able to surpass kid buu and even then we don't know by how much. Toriyama never said goku was equal to kid buu. There is a reason why goku says that he wants to fight buu again and he will be stronger next time so they can fight one on one

Toriyama himself says he loved the daizenshuu and wished he had it when he was making the manga. No it is never stated in the manga that super > Kid. In fact the manga states that when super buu was reverting back to kid buu, he was getting stronger. Gohan WAS ssj2 when he fought dabura. So no, you are wrong

Goku told gohan to get angrier like the way he was with cell. @kakashiUzamaki It was never stated that Gohan was ssj 1 against dabura, you can't just lose the ability to transform to the level beyond ssj, Thatd be like losing the ability to turn ssj1 and be stuck in base. He was clearly weaker in the babidi saga, but he was still ssj2. He did it at the tournament with Kibit, so why stop there? kibit healed his drained power back to normal. He also turned ssj2 for the Z sword to pull it out, if you watch the episode closely he has slight lightning.
