Love Betty and I did not know about Marion are they twins? I saw Marion and thought it was Betty - It was too bad they treated Betty so badly in "Annie get your Gun" She is just too precious.

This song is really titled "Hang Up My Rock 'n' Roll Shoes" and was a pop and R&B hit in 1958 for Chuck Willis. Was Betty rockin' in the '40s? You bet. Check out her 1944 hit "His Rocking Horse Ran Away" and her 1945 hit "Stuff Like That There" as just two examples.

Betty was rockin' long before Elvis, Chuck Berry and Little Richard came onto the scene. Of course they weren't calling it Rock 'n' Roll back then but she could out-scream Little Richard and swivel her hips with the best of them!
