Apple is good for overall reliability but bad in the fact that you can't upgrade any computer other than their most expensive one. I got an iMac and 2 months later it has i7 and an awesome graphics card. Upgrades are more expensive than a new one. Go mac if you want reliability. PC if you want more availability and customization

When we buy a mac lets say a laptop, the choice is limited. And it should be an apple product. If we want to buy another apple laptop, we don't have choice to buy another kind, it's the same for few years. So we may find ourself buying the accessories or software which is also from apple store.

@jwbjnwolf 64bit windows still runs all 32bit programs you know. It just has problems running 32bit drivers. The main reason why 32 bit will soon no longer be available is because 32bit systems cannot use any more than 4GB system ram. There are bypasses for that, but it causes driver problems and can make the system unstable with many hardware configurations. Thats the main reason why 32bit doesn't allow more than 4GB ram to be used.
