finally somebody who understand, that the finished product is what makes and breaks. everybody wants these fat break down guitar riffs and chugging and what not... yet they have no idea how every instrument harmonizes together to create the finished product.
I love this interview, really informative, and he's got some great ideas, but by far the best bit is the fact that he's wearing an awesome t-shirt lol 'Slavery gets shit done'
should of hired me to do the interview. I have worked as lecturer before and even better I know how to get info out of andy and I live around the corner!!!!!!!LOL
The questions seem very geekey, sorry it had to be said!!!!!!
Hi, Sorry for the quality of these videos, they were filmed and edited by Mark Mynett not by Sound On Sound. While the quality may not be perfect we thought you'd enjoy them all the same. SOS
@soundonsoundvideo yeah i see comments here about the sound quality... wow!!! people should just focus on the information given by the videos and stop commenting about the sound.. its good enough to get pleanty of infromation abou recording!!
@soundonsoundvideo The quality may not be perfect but 10/10 for these interviews and the information given. Thanks allot Soundonsound and Mark Mynett.
@mcufre Get fucked, sir. It's a video about recording audio... you'd expect the audio to be pristine. If you looked below my comment to the comment by SoundOnSoundVideo, then you'd see it wasn't them that edited the video. Besides, I wasn't criticizing them for it, just bringing it up.
Also, this comment happened two years ago, so you get a gold star for being the late blooming asshole.
@PocketDrummer I don't expected anything besides getting some production wisdom and I got that alright. Even if this was recorded with an iphone it would have been ok. I will judge production when I hear a production, not when I listen to an interview.
@mcufre Well, Maria Cufre, I have better things to do than argue with someone online. You're a sad little princess of own sad little hill. I'll leave you to tend to it.
love how all these guys are english, respect.

Damn, I keep finding myself turning the volume down when he's talking, which is really loud, and then turning it up when the "journalist" whispers.
I plugged the PC-output into my guitar rack, and used the compressor so that the journalist and the mixer where at the same level.
Mixing, it completes everything.

The quality is fine for an interview. We don't need to read the labels on the mixer, but you can make out his t-shirt:
