  • Lat time I checked was one Euro a bag, the song tell us of a two pence a bag, but this is not Euro, it is pounds.

  • Actually, all the tourists feed them, it is part of the San Marco square experience, especially if you have children(s).

  • Now the policemen fine you, if you "feed the birds" in san Marco Square; Policemans charge a pecuniary penalty of 50 Euro to German tourist that were feeding birds and 5000 Euro to the illegal "bag seller" :/. It is a law passed in the spring 2008, because the venetian pigeons are too much and carrier of human disease :(
