@MsKimi26 that's what Sirens did.... which pretty much are mermaids. haha. they'd sing, then the sailors wud try & find the voice(or voices) singing, causing the sailors to drown. it is thought that no sailor has ever heard a sirens voice & live. except 4 one, but he had his crew tie him to a pole very secure so he wudn't jump overboard. (can't remember his name sowwy)

This is my mom's favorite part of the entire song and possibly the movie as well. She's always loved this part. My mother has a beautiful voice that wasn't passed on to me. I can mimic and so can my brother but I think he got some of her talent. We had Poor Unfortunate Souls on one of those Villain Cd's and my mom would always sing this part.
