I have to say this one has become one of my favourites from season two. It´s such a good film that it could easily have been a full length feature.

The Damned Thing itself isn't even exposed during the movie. There's really no point to it other than there being a curse on the main character. All that crap just happens without people knowing what it is. This was a waste of an hour. Seriously.

@lazypunk21 We don't need to know what it is, and in fact, it doesn't necessarily have to be a real thing. It could be symbolic of a psychological trauma driving people mad. Too many movies have been ruined by learning too much. That's my least favorite thing about american horror movies nowadays.

@ladyvader139 I agree that knowing too much ruins horror movies, but this 1 didn't even at least let us know what it was and why it came back. It didn't have to go into full detail, but it could've at least given us some type of background no matter how vague.

@lazypunk21 The damned thing was basically like a killer oil slick. It represented something horrible that the main character's grandfather had done with his oil business in a nearby town. Whatever he did, he unleashed a curse of madness on future generations of his family.

I'm a big fan of B flicks and am really not a harsh critic but this movie was truly one of the worst pieces of garbage I have ever seen. Save yourself the time. If you insist anyway... here's a preamptive "I told ya so."

The story it was based on, by Arthur Machen, is FANTASTIC. I blame the scriptwriter.

Yeah, Arthur Machen is great, but sadly I have seen real life Japanese commercials that sacred me far more than this. Check out "Tarako" if you don't want a good night's sleep.

It is a Japanese commercial for noodle sauce, but it seems to use existential horror as a marketing ploy. Tarako is the company name. I don't know who directed it, I suspect North Koreans had kidnapped and tortured him however. Beyond that I have no explanations, my mind is still reeling with the sublime cosmic shock of what I beheld.
