  • i MUST find this...

  • Love this song....so glad this is online....RIP...

  • I shall put this in my "Songs That Make Me Happy" area.

  • So sad to hear about his untimely death. But this song is so special to me. I met this lady in 1995, and I had this on a VHS tape. So I made her a Casette tape this is my song her. But the kicker is I haven't seen her in 15 years and i finally got to actually play this for her in person. So therefore, I am so glad that people realize that this song/video is one my all time favorites. RIP J.Spencer ...Much love.

And if i get married to that 1995 lady.. this is without a doubt my FIRST SONG !!

  • THIS WAS A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE. I MISS HIM. NO TELLING HOW FAR HE COULD HAVE GONE. A VERY BIG LOST TO THE MUSIC WORLD.

  • He was very good looking!!

  • J. Spencer die in July of 2005, look up his bio online.

  • I think he is an artist on The Best of Smooth Jazz Holiday. The cut is "who's Child Is This". Anyone heard it??? I didn't realize he had passed. What happened?????

  • I love this song. Rest in peace J. Spencer. Mint Condition need to perform this song.

  • @Maggawonda yes, they really should perform this song when they travel...I'm sure Jeffrey from the group coul put some cool sax lines on this...

  • been looking for this song for years. to bad to find out he passed. But, music never dies

  • Good post. I've been looking for this joint for the longest. Wow! I didn't know he passed away. R.I.P.

  • You know it's a very special thing to leave something behind for the world to enjoy long after your gone. We should all cherish every moment that the Lord gives us on this earth. Peace!!!

  • he was so awesome ...........i loved his music.....im going 2 go rebuy this cd today...

  • I am sitting here in shock! I didn't know he had passed away until today!!! He, George Howard, and Grover Washington are my all time favorites. All are now gone & live in regret. I had the opportunity to see them ALL and missed it because I didn't want to go to the concerts alone. Never again....tomorrow is not promised. RIP....

  • dont forget about Art Porter another great sax player

  • Yeah its sad he is gone very talented cat he was like the predecessor to Mike Phillips cat could blow..!

  • RIP man miss your combo of hip hop and jazz.

  • RIP :-(

  • Yeah,he is no longer with us. I read somewhere no cause of death was listed and he was only 36 yrs old. Strange. Anyway Stokley from the mint msde this joint pop with his smooth tenor

  • Apparently his death was caused by almost total aortal blockage. I had a friend who died at the age of 37 in 2005, the same year as J Spencer, from the same condition :(

  • This joint is SO RAW.

I had to come back and listen to it again.

  • RIP J - you brought me much joy through your music.

  • Man this song is really PIMP.

I'mma check this duede's albums out, for real.

  • This is my favorite Song... U will be missed J.
