  • WOW YOU LOOK LIKE A GIANT xD

  • it's nice that you checked to see if she was ok

  • The car looks so tiny! I was thinking you were going to ask her to slip it into neutral and then just lift it up and walk it back onto the road.

  • Hilarious! I too wonder how they got it out of there, dragging the car back on to the path would be a problem

  • can you speak fluent japanese? from your videos it seems like it . your videos are preety awesome cuz i like japan =)

  • @nik2507able Yep, he does

  • Haha those precautions are indeed a bit overdone. I've seen something similar in Tokyo when a couple of workers were busy fixing the pavement. Their bus was on the street, and one person was busy in the hole in the pavement. However, there was a person in front of the bus and another one at the back of the bus, warning passers by to watch out. Furthermore there was another person standing near the hole in the pavement, waving with a glowstick to warn us not to fall in the hole haha.

  • i thought it is safe in japan but the guy lock the door before he attend to the stuck car?

  • I've seen that woman before. She's always driving down narrow lanes & dropping the wheels off the path, just to get attention. I wonder if she's got a thing for tow truck drivers & bright orange suits?

  • Do you speak fluent japanese?

  • @nicknbg1981

He's been living in Japan for years now, and he's married to a Japanese woman.

So, yep. Pretty fluent, I'd imagine. :P

  • anviil

  • those look like motorized wheel chairs that we have in the usa. But street use is cooool

  • So women in Japan too can't drive.

  • Thank you for the video.

  • boring video

  • This is one of the best videos around here since a long time. Thanks! I'm sure I would have just reversed out of there... maybe damaging the car more, but hey, YOU DON'T NEED TO HELP ME! j.k.

  • Kudos to you Good Sir, for proving that chivalry is not dead. One question though... Are the mystical orange cones and all powerful orange triangle in front of the auto club truck a distant cousin of the magic yellow plastic chain? Just kidding, keep up the GREAT work!! Cheers!

  • imo, couldnt some people have just picked up the side of the car (with the car in neutral) that was hanging off the road and then just walk back to get it to where all of the wheels are on the road and then just back out?

  • That is not a road it is a side walk.

  • No offense P. but if i wathced a guy in black clothing and a black head cap approaching with THAT sort of walking i would be scared poopless.

Nice of you to offer help though.

    Greeting from Greece.

  • Have you driven past there since then? Maybe she's still there with the car.

  • JAPAN AUTOMOBILE FEDERATION ( JAF )

  • I have watched people ride bikes into parked vehicles, and then get all upset claiming that the vehicle hit them.

  • silly people and your 3 feet wide cars xD

  • wai tor piggu gor horm

  • Do they place cones and triangles around you if you stand too long in one spot?

Must be really funny to stand out as you must. Surely everyone who lives nearby has spotted you. Do Japanese people gossip much?

  • あなたが載せてるビデオ見ると日本の田舎恋しくなるんだ。。。:’(

  • That`s wonderful that you tried to help. That was very gentlemanly of you.I hope that she was ok and I hope that she didn`t get into trouble with her boss. The poor thing.

  • That... Must have been a pretty weird day for her. She drives into a rice field and gets spoken to by some random, ludicrously tall foreigner o.O

  • it's funny watching you stand next to a japanese person, you completely towered over him lol

  • @xPureDeth have you ever driven in Japan?

  • small roads, in old parts of belgium we also have small roads but luckely no ditches on the sides

  • Width.........., lolx2 I hate my keyboard key didn't press correctly... @_@'

  • '^o^ LoL !! Man your not kidding, that pathways with look like it shrunk by about 3 ft !! LoL ^o^'

  • That's cool that you tried to help out :)

  • Good on you unskilled laborer!

  • Poor thing. Do more driving videos!

  • Everything in Japan is so tiny. How can you live in a tiny country, thats so weird. but i love your videos. Its a great inside view of Japan. I love it.

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, women are smart

  • it looked like the car was no longer supported by the left tires so i dont think they could have simply pulled it with a hitch

  • I bet she would've liked if there were a Catcher in the Rice to save her!

... What, no one likes my joke? It's a literary reference for crying out loud!

  • poor girl lol >.<

  • Two more hours on top of the thirty minutes of speaking from those towing men? What are they talking about, do you know? Is it standard procedure to take that long asking questions before actions can be taken?

Love your videos. To a Japanese native, this is simple daily life stuff. However, to someone outside, it's quite intriguing to see life from different perspectives. Thanks for this virtual tonne of videos!

  • i bet they talked about the weather for 2 hours before they did anything.

  • I really hope her boss/company wasn't too harsh on her.

  • I wonder if they offered her green tea before they towed the car out.

  • Somehow from the sheer quantity of your videos, I assumed they'd be rushed or low quality, but every one I've seen so far has been absolutely great. I hope that lady was alright!!

  • Ufff thats a good thing that guy properly marked truck as it could lead to some disaster like you said. :D I guess the best part of the story :D

  • Japan Autoclub Man should be able to winch that out of there PDQ! Forget the fact that a car jack might also have done the trick if placed properly. Love the Witches' Hats analogy.

  • Where is "this particular area", btw?

  • i bet when the car went off the road the girl yelled out "BITSHAS!!"

  • They was so sweet to help that lady and I bet she was thankful for you helping her out good job! ^^

  • Poor girl. I feel sorry for her. Those narrow streets in Japan are so confusing. I actually saw a couple of similar incidents when living in Japan. Another type of incident caused by narrow streets is cars clipping each other. Also in many areas they have big drainage channels by the side of the road, and sometimes people drive into those. Actually I'm really curious how the tow truck would've got that car out of there?!

  • I thought you were going to lift that tiny car and get it passed safely; wait why would some one lock that tow truck in the middle of a rice field? unless those crows are car gangs or this guy has been where i live, here you can't take any chances.

  • wow thats just like in trinidad

  • aw poor girl. how embarrassing.

  • That's a shame! The town needs to make that road inaccessable to automobiles. I hope the poor girl doesn't loose her job or get into any kind of trouble.

  • well aren't you a gentelman helping the poor lady out. Good deed for the day.

  • Hey there is that unskilled worker from your renovation project! HE TOOK YOUR CAR!!!! AND POSTED A VIDEO! He needs to be back at the house working on that house of yours! Make him work overtime!

  • Mr. JapanChannel! XD ( I still don't know your name ) How long did it take for you to master the Japanese language? Did you get special lessons from Teachers or Tutors? Help from relatives? Or did you already live in Japan during all of your life-time? Thank You!

  • @WaterCrystalline On his other channel, he goes by the name "Silly Old Dude".

  • "Because otherwise they might ride their bicycles straight into it" I almost didn't see that truck until he put the cones out. I had no idea what you were talking about. haha Poor lady. I hope it all turned out well in the end.

    ~Blackhat2005

  • My gps took me down a road that was grass, not dirt with ruts, but grass that could have been mowed. I hope she didn't lose her job over this, live and learn I guess.

  • "Another 2 hours of conversation"! That's Japan! Bwahahahahahaha!

  • i wonder why the camera was shaking so much when his car was sitting still and empty?

  • @sueb262 oh. never mind. i hadn't listened through to 3:05 yet!

  • Really funny story! Also the video quality looks great with the mounting in the car.

  • HHHhhhEEYYyyyy GGGUUUUyyyyyyyySSSSSssss!!!!

  • looks more like a bike path than a road.

  • This is one ridiculously narrow road...

  • I did OK driving on the tiny roadways in Japan when living on the island of Hokkaido as I traveled by motorcycle all year, and during snowy conditions fueling station owners would invite me in to dine with them and warm up so that it was actually quite enjoyable to tool around on a bike even when it was below freezing outside. I did run into a few dead end roads/paths but turning about is a snap with a bike.

  • cant they make that road 2 feet bigger.

  • @EWGFus3r what--and lose two feet of rice paddy? probably not worth it.

  • gaijin power useless

  • is that a road it's so small for a car to drive through it

  • poor lady, we all have one of those days in our life.

  • Looked like he'd have a better chance at getting to her car from the other side of the road. She almost made it through too.. .

  • I would have told my company a giant round eye demon was chasing me as to why my car got stuck in a rice field. xP

  • @TheLifePerfect You mean like Evil Eye Sigma from the Touhou series? Lotus Land story I think... A mid ex-boss...or am I annoying? -_-; are you a touhou fan?

  • @GaryOakIsMine I like the hitogata series more, it's cuter and more difficult. xP

  • @TheLifePerfect How difficult is the series? wait... It's bullet hell right? or danmaku?

  • @GaryOakIsMine It's bullet hell to me, my old man reflexes aren't as good as they used to be. xD

  • @TheLifePerfect hm. Interesting. You know what might be harder though? Mushihimesama... I mean seriously... watch?v=ldj8iPsFSyQ god mode?? /(O.o)\ sadly I can't even survive past level four on normal... is that bad?

  • @GaryOakIsMine Only if it makes you mad! xD

  • @GaryOakIsMine I watched the video and I like Hitto better because you can't delete bulletwaves, it's all or nothing. xD And I'm not very good at these kinda games, in fact I kind of only invented them as a joke. 0.- mV

  • @TheLifePerfect So... you wait what? So, you're saying that you brought the game up as a joke? =_= oops... Ah well... I take everything seriously unless someone states otherwise... It's just how I am. 「I am Me and that's all that there is」 -- Bad Apple

  • @GaryOakIsMine No. I am the person who invented the bullet hell genre. And, I invented it, the bullet hell genre, as a joke. (o.o)mV

  • Old ladies in bicycles?!... Japan is awesome.

  • I guess the unskilled laborer only repairs houses, but does not lift cars out of rice field ditches...

  • That poor girl.

  • Poor thing! I can only imagine the chewing out she will get when she gets to work the next day. Hopefully she isn't required to drive, she may not be able to with company car after this, if she still has a job.

  • you look like a giant and im about 20 cm bigger then you...

  • love how he places the warning sign just infront of the car, a lot of good that'll do.

  • funny !

  • Those paths used to be for the rice fields not for regular traffic.. There are so many of this kind of roads in Japan. Then US car companies complain that they cannot sell cars in Japan. Can you imagine full sized vehicles on these?

  • Company trucks in the USA also use those silly cones even when parked correctly in a parking lot.

  • Wow... it's so... friendly. Here in the US people would freak out if you try to help them. They would think you're trying to mug them or what not. :/

  • people lose their jobs over this?!!? jesus christ!

  • I'm thinking it can be fixed with 2 hydraulic jacks with wheels and slowly pushing it back. Too bad we couldn't find out how they did it.

  • That a puzzler, how to get out of something like that.

  • Nice idea for the dash camera!

  • glad you were there to comfort her.

  • heyy guuuuuyyyysssss!

  • Comment removed

  • easy, just make a little false road down where the car crashed. lift up the car with the road and then drive the car backwards away,,, Note: when i mean false road, it could just be a couple of wooden planks...

  • hey i just wanted to tell you how great your channel is. thank you for all those great videos! i LOVE it all! good job!

  • I dunno why... but I wish I was white so I could be called "Gaijin"

It just sounds so cool :)

  • @SimplicityInItself it may sound cool to you but it seems like it's a rude word to use in japan. when they call you gaijin, it's usually not nice.

  • @jodelle6 Well... maybe the Japanese have a different sense of decency then us Americans. So I wouldn't mind, unless they were intentionally trying to hurt me. :(

  • @SimplicityInItself the word itself has negative associated to it. but than again, if we watch the japan channel, he tells us all the time that japanese people are very rarely rude.

  • @jodelle6 And it's true. They're all nice people ( Unless you somehow upset any of them ) And even though that word can be seen as an insult, Japenese people mean no harm when using it. It's sort of like a trend.

  • @SimplicityInItself

You don't have to be white to be a gaijin. You only have to be a foreigner.

  • I don't know about you but did anyone notice the palm tree?

  • i would freak out if i car stuck thr.

  • hmmm can you do an econemy viceo as we all are interestd after a hard year.... how are things as of the time of filming ?? booming due to rebuild, will it bust ??

  • Doesn't look like the car was damaged at all, it's just stuck. I HOPE it wasn't damaged and I'm glad she's ok. Now I'm worried about her job. I can't imagine they'd fire the poor young lady for something like that. I was wondering why more guys didn't show up to help lift the lower side and push it back to a wider part of the street where it could be backed out. That would be my first impulse.

  • @SpookMrsSpooky you would need a lot of guys and since it was a rice field im assuming it was muddy so they would just sink in more if they tried to lift.

  • I have a kaizen proposal:

they could install a ranging pod at beginning of the street, so just narrow vehicles can pass.

have the japanese authorities a sympathetic ear for something like this?

  • lol Thanks for waiting up to half anhour, still =D

  • Poor girl, I hope everything is ok for her.

  • 1:20 epic evil goofy laughter ^^

  • The thing with company cars isn't just Japanese, most jobs blow a fit when something goes wrong with a vehicle whether you were at fault or not. She probably lost her job :(

  • He locked the driver's door of a brightly white and blue painted tow truck in the middle of a rice field in the middle of Japan after having put a triangle and two cones in front of the truck?

How much more improbalbe could a car theft possibly get?

  • Women drivers...... Tut tut lol

  • Turning on their sat nav makes a lot of people turn off their brain.

  • Aside from Pearl Harbor this is only the second time Ive ever seen a japanese person make a bad decision...lol

  • I know he's been there for a while and the people are probably used to seeing him by now. I wonder if they are actually surprised when he speaks Japanese??? Either way always sad to see a lady in distress....Hope things turned out well.

  • Would like to have seen how this was resolved, but oh well... Poor lady. Hope she kept her job. That is a major cock-up. She won't live it down at the office, either. Yeah, I think she has a LOT to be freaked out about, and she knows it, too.

  • Road? We have bicycle paths wider than this! The giant Aussie looked like he was walking down a sidewalk! LOL!

  • As an ambassador for my country and a representative of all foreigners in Japan, I always like to help people out when I can.

  • jesus christ japanese lady...don't you have any commons sense or visual perception? it is like the episode of "the office" where michael scott drives straight into a lake just cause the GPS told him to do so. lolll :)

  • You're a giant :D

  • He is going to have to drive back as close as he can get to her, then see if his cable can reach her...and then drag her .....But if that is going to rip up the car bad, then he has got to drive all the way there and jack up the car....but its going to take time

  • I imagine they had to get an extension cable for the winch? I cant see any other way of doing it.

  • what a bugger. luckily no one is hurt

  • Awww haha poor lady!! but that's very kind of you to try and help her out :)

  • Hahaha, maybe they would have all went and got some tea before they actually did anything! :D

  • Perhaps if the were posts on each end as far apart as the narrowest part of the road, vehicles that are to large couldn't enter in the first place.

  • Did her car not have a reverse?

  • @Sarcastimus Kinda hard to reverse when half the wheels are in the ditch, dontcha think?

  • I can't believe you're allowed to drive on that road. It's narrower than the average rural European bicycle path.

  • @sjureman Wow you're right haha

  • Why did you not simply use your gaijin power to lift up the car and carry it over to safety?

  • how to say Step away from the vehicle citizen :D? In japanese?

  • GAIJIN to the Rescue!!!! (^o^)v

  • Ouch :/

  • Japan Automobile Club - JAC. That's an appropriate acronym for this situation :D

  • @ParanoidGallows

In truth It's actually JAF (Japan Automobile Federation)

  • I don't know what freaked her out more... Her car stuck on that road or that giant gaijin walking up and speaking perfect japanese :D

  • @kant0r "Oh no, first I get the car stuck and now gaijinzilla is attacking!'

  • @kant0r LOL we were all thinking that!!!

  • Poor lady xD

  • they don't let me drive down sidewalks

  • @toth2173 and this is why lol

  • ha where do these people learn to drive?

  • @OscarMaris in a closed area with no live traffic

  • @OscarMaris actually there is a video about japanese driving schools. you should check it out ;D
