@coltsfanalltheway Okay, did u try to put it in recovery mode? hold on home button and power button for 10 seconds than release power button then hold home for another 10 seconds. after this it should turn dark, plug it into the computer and restore it. Hope that helps

Had a bricked Ipod touch 2G, nothing worked, and it would say "usb device not recognized" after a few tries holding the power and home button, it worked and i now have a restored ipod touch!

okay i did that and it opened on itunes but i click on restore and then it tells me that: "Software for this ipod is currently unavalable. make sure you have the latest version of itunes and try again". and the thing is i do have the latest version i checked.....

im guessing you turned it off for tethered if this happens put it into DFU mode and use onclickboot

ive tried numerous times...once it gets to the apple logo screen with a progeress bar..my computer does a little sounds that means disconnected and then reconnected and then it just goes back to hte connect to itunes screenn...
