Ahhhh! I love your hair! I used to wear mine like this. It was off to the left like yours, with the stair-step bangs and the straight ("pointy" as you say) sides and the short, choppy back. I straightened it and usually wore it with blonde highlights (my hair is light brown) and when it started to grow I would even it up w/scissors and a razorblade and tease/hairspray the back just like you did.
