  • no realistic! no attack! nothing

  • exelent

  • @DiscreetAshashin

Really? Their movements LOOK aggressive and with their pistol guns their movements changed to be cautious but smoothly. Hmm, guess not. : /

  • I can tell that the main part of the Russian Martial Arts, Systema, have aggressive movements. And with pistol guns, their movements changed to be a more defensive but cautious movements.

So far, I only know some basics of Karate and Filipino Martial Arts, Stick Fight. I wanted to learn mainly about Pressure Points, due that I am only 4 feet 9 inches tall and will NEVER grow another inch again.

  • I'm seeing alot of stuff that we do at a higher level in Kuk Sool Won, but in a more aggressive manner haha. Much respect to the guys who practise russian systema. All the best

  • The best fighters are the russian.

    Respect frome Romania!

  • Funny stuff... ha ha ha...

Should be in a michael jakson video though...

    Bunch of dancers

  • what's the track at 0:58 and 6:22 ?Please :)

  • what's the track at 0:58 and 6:22 ?Please :)

  • @Lupov90 IT'S SOUNDTRACK FROM "THE ROCK"

  • Great video i like this

  • kindda looks like ninjutsu. I don't like the spinning they do with the pistol in systema, though

  • @panplonada07 It's very different from ninjitsu, but this video is only a little piece of systema

  • @electronikita I think your confused all together, although Greeco-Roman wrestling did make partial contributions to Russian Martial arts. Education is a key learn. Unfortunately I can not post url's in these comments.

Fist-fight alonne was around in Russian region prior to formation of Kiev Rus.

Systema came adopter Russian Martial arts during Soviet times. It did not exist prior to communism.

History Geek specially a Russian and do not know own Slavic roots.

  • Many Western Nations might find this hard to believe however eastern countries such as Russia been mastering this for centuries. Endurance comes from soul and heart with, out use and recognition of spirituality one cannot use their full potential in physical combat.

  • @Arestaeus Any proof of centuries old tradition of this style of fighting? No? None? Of coarse there are non you silleh pants! Let those guys show up on a SAMBO tournament ( combat version/mma)

  • @electronikita What prove? You need prove of every war Russia had and training techniques since formation of Kiev Rus? This is rather idiotic to ask prove for. I'm not your nanny, dig into the books research Slavic history kid. Prior and during mid evil times, generations Slavic warriors were trained since childhood. How fortunate that I was born i Russia I was taught not to be ignorant:)

  • @Arestaeus . Perhaps i am not explaining myself clearly ( probably). Look at Japan's jiu-jitsu - centuries old, preserved style of fighting; or Chinese kung-fu - styles that wes trained through ages. We have written prove of these styles being developed a very long time ago. However there is no prove that systema was developed "centuries back" and was used by Rus' warriors. I think you are confusing Sparta with Rus btw=))))

  • @electronikita "Correction"

Systema adopted Russian Martial arts during Soviet times. Systema did not exist prior to communism, however Russian Martial arts did. Communism is part of the reason why records of Russian Martial arts are hard to retrieve. I would be happy provide "poor lost soul" who claims to be a Russian. Some educational material of my Russian heritage, unfortunately links are not permitted here. Russkiy vsegda znaet kto on est:) Dokazivayut tolko 4yujakam.

  • @electronikita These guy's are some of the best on the planet, Considering that in early 19 hundreds thousands of Russia's elite officers along with scientists of Imperial Russia migrated to States and created basis for American marine/navy training/physical combat. Do you need prove of that too? Perhaps their graves in N.J. along with Russian Orthodox church, or their part in U.S. military? MMA is no place for "those guys". It would be unjust and unfair. Learn some history first.

  • @Arestaeus I am Russian, and whats more important, imma history geek. There was never centuries old tradition of martial arts schools/styles in Russia, never. You claim that "eastern countries such as Russia been mastering this for centuries." so give us prove or don't make such claims.

  • @electronikita Russia did not have one founder martial arts school, this is not Kung Fu or other eastern martial arts. Warriors were trained veracious of methods through out the country( Cities / villages), merging during specific times and places through out Russian history. It would be absurd for you to request of me to explain all of it, there's to much information and date to compile and process. Your welcome to try it, I can give you few examples:).

  • @electronikita I enjoy history my self, Russia has very unique history where number of different combat methods were developed, it's just to vague. Russia had over 500 years of war between 1300 and 1900, mostly on Russian territory. How could we defend our land from number of different troops with different tactics and combat techniques with out martial arts system? You see how silly you are? Perhaps you can be the first person to compile history of Russian martial arts:) Good luck:)

  • What about family Martial Arts school ( or system) of Prince Galitsin? At least 400 years...

Or Russian and Ukrainian cossacks? Or professional warriors? You think Russia get 1/6th part of the world using Karate or Aikido?

  • great vid! but can someone tell me the first song??? please !

  • spetsnaz is the best special pupose unit in the world and this art is proven ive been doing it for a year....you just a lil keyboard worrior aren't you

  • desertfox, didn't mean to hurt your feelings. that was a spontaneous response to the material presented. I am falling into the habbits of a keyboard warrior this week. I have one hand firmly grasping my firm member at all times. It's hard to get off on this stuff tho, the guy are wearing too many clothes. like come on!

  • Thats just a ad! The REAL Training is much harder believe me^^. You are getting hit and have to endure the pain for example. But basically its something thats slowly training your reflexes and muscles. Nobody can be a master in 1 day =).

  • Oh and i´ll repeat this maybe again: This video is just a fucking ad and bad made I say.

  • erinnert mich voll an Wing Tzun ^^

    Was ist eigentlich besser?

    WT oder Systema?

  • kimbo slice is gay

  • He still punches hard.

  • Bunch of Crap?? yeah, sure, just visit any officially certified FULL instructor in Europe, USA or anywhere...take a pair of classes and tell us your experience...

I hope you enjoy the pain

  • you cant compair sport with militery self deffens.

  • In your opinion sir, which do you think is more applicable in a real life battle?

  • well, you do have israely krav maga, russian systema. this two self deffens have been for over 50 years on the field, i would recommend them. but than again. they are lots of diffrent krav magas and lots of diffrent systemas.

  • have you had training in either one?

  • kimbo slice is a joke dude. and the fact is- this system is designed for professional soldiers, and anyone else who falls in the category ie: mercenaries, hitmen, bodygaurds, etc. you think you know better than russian special forces? ok, w/e.

  • Actually this 'bunch of crap' incorporates SAMBO, as well as many other martial arts into itself.

  • I wonder if they showed that to Nixon.

  • Damn these fuckers train hard. :)

  • krass, sieht geil aus

  • I joined a lesson in one of Valentine's students class last week.. Systema is one of the toughest things i've ever done. it's not like any other martial art. it's all about self defense...

  • please...there are no set moves ffs and Dont relate this to akido both sides get pissed at eachother

  • Comment removed

  • Ah! Very sorry! Mis read it :D :D :D

  • aikido is like 9 centuries newer than systema.

  • No. Aikido was created in 1920s.

  • Yes. You probably didn't understand me. Systema is 9 centuries older than aikido

  • I think there are some moves from aikido..

  • No. The most of this vid is made in Münster. Its a german city^^. Systema is a mayby different from aikido. I dont know because i never see Aikido.

Real shit. I'm shamed for my country each time i see in video description "russian sistem, spetsnaz".

IF YOU WANT TO SEE REAL RUSSIAN FIGHT SEE "KOI" or "Hokutoki".

  • Hokutoki doesn't sound or look russian? or did you mean fighting as in just a match between 2 russian in anything?

  • retards

  • Отлично теска отжигает 8)))

  • systema gets in deep and heavy it feels like someone hitting you with a sledge hammer multible times feel the pain. It hurts soo good

  • Looks like some kind of fucked-up Ballet. That a Russian thing ...right?

  • ´like the video, keep on rockin.

nice greetings from systema vienna !

  • Compare with the Oriental counter-parts the moves seems a bit slower, with less emphasis on kicking, pretty much grab, spin and hit. But they sure only strike for fatals alright, if it's for real, it's going to hurt as hell

  • Valentine is Vladimir's brother.

The guys in the clip are Valentine's students. I am not sure of their proffessions, but it is not uncommon to find people in Systema classes with a millitary, police or close protection background.

Glad you enjoyed the clip. Valentines students do more pistol work than we do in the UK.

  • is Valentine Vasiliev a parent of Vladimir?

also, are the guys featured professionals/bodyguards or civilians?

I loved the part where the guy moved and showed "stances" and movements with the gun :)

    thanks

  • 1. Like some of the gun work.

    2. As far as hitting, there seems to be a lot more opportunity for using proper mechanics and hitting a whole lot harder. These are strong, fit, and tought guys, and their hits are probably fairly hard. However, I honestly doubt the effect those strikes would have for a 130lb woman.

    3. Didn't much care for the knife defenses, they look rather dangerous.

    4. Any system looks good when demo'd on its own practitioners.

    Salute

  • If a punch moves opponent 1" it can do its job. Systema works the structure and the focus should not be on the affect of any single point of contact.

  • bujuts,

Find a Systema instructor near you, and see what it's about first hand. Get the "Strikes" DVD. I did not believe it until I saw it (and felt it) myself. I'm 6'1", 220 lbs, and I wouldn't go against a 130 woman who was good at Systema - seriously. What you think of as proper dynamics might be turned on its head if you studied Systema - loose and natural is much stronger than strained. The punches go *inside*, and HURT BAD. You can feel it when someone else gets hit!

  • where did you go & check out his system ?

  • Well if you fight someone that has a knife I'd say you just have to minimize the cuts you will get. Because the chance is you're getting cut one way or another.
