I know on summit allot of people will hide behind a barrel and if you do not get behind them some how (impossible in a good trap) it is basically you spawning and dying
In my opinion, if the enemy players really are bad enough to let themselves be taken advantage of and pushed back into their spawns and make no strategic moves to try and brake it, then yes I believe they should be spawn trapped. It takes more than your average CoD team to set up a decent trap anyway. If you don't like it, rage quit, that's why the option is there people. :P
advice to casual players playing objective based matches on a random team ... if this happens, don't rage quit, try to pull out an rpg as fast as you can and blast in every direction. this should end a few cheatstreaks. if they're really lame and on you immediately, unload entire clips as soon as you spawn. it won't save you, but it will let them know how wack they are.

@MrClawzofdeath the idea behind the spawn trap is that you are keeping the enemy in a small cage so that they are unable to play the game. in some instances the enemy cant tell what direction they are facing before being mowed down by players who are essentially camping. the idea is that one team protects the targets on one side of the map while the other team spawns on the other side and tries to assault. when a spawn trap is formed it breaks the game. the targets are left unguarded

Spawn trapping is gay. If you have balls and don't always play with your BFF's, you play with randoms, no micers, and guest players, so cut that strategic argument b.s out. Since you spawn where teammates spawn there ain't shit you can do. Especially when the team doing it strategically camps out positions seeing how they have a comfortable lead and can turtle then win if you turn defensive. Don't be afraid to play the game. They're only virtual bullets....

to all the people saying that spawn trapping is gay and unfair you can just leave the game and to those people that think we 'spawntrappers' can hold high k/d or w/l ratios without this you're wrong i can hold my 4.7 in hq and my win loss suffers from people who care too much about their stats and dashboard its a 4.6 and demo isnt the only game mode i play either its not like all my kills are from demo not even half and if you have that big of a problem with it dont play the game mode

spawn trapping is ok w/ me as long as you aren't crouching behind some piece of cover so only the tiniest part of you is visible to attach. I know on summit allot of people will hide behind a barrel and if you do not get behind them some how (impossible in a good trap) it is basically you spawning and dying

In my opinion, if the enemy players really are bad enough to let themselves be taken advantage of and pushed back into their spawns and make no strategic moves to try and brake it, then yes I believe they should be spawn trapped. It takes more than your average CoD team to set up a decent trap anyway. If you don't like it, rage quit, that's why the option is there people. :P

advice to casual players playing objective based matches on a random team ... if this happens, don't rage quit, try to pull out an rpg as fast as you can and blast in every direction. this should end a few cheatstreaks. if they're really lame and on you immediately, unload entire clips as soon as you spawn. it won't save you, but it will let them know how wack they are.

Spawntrapping, in my own opinion is fair, but it isn't the gamers fault at that point, it's the programmers. I consider myself to be a good gamer and I've been spawn trapped before. What do I do? Blame my shitty team mates and try my hardest to get us out of the situation.

Spawn trapping is sportsmanlike. A team has to screw up pretty badly to get spawntrapped.
Camping...is wuss behaviour, but otherwise is a valid tactic. In a real life battlefield, the enemy army isnt going to rage on you for camping.
The only thing you should really ever get mad about is boosting. That is unforgiveable.

If you do not want to be spawn trapped Play Team Death Match there is a reason spawns swap there and not in other objective games... Being in control is part of winning any game.. Team death match spawns switching is a way for people who do not like that to get away from it.. That is my thoughts atleast

Sorry Wings, your analogy is a bad one. We are talking about party vs party, usually the spawn traps happen when its a team vs randoms.
Its like taking that football team, and letting them play against a random team of people in the stands. There should be no reason this should happen, except black ops matchmaking is too lazy to bring another team in, so they just pick whoever is closest.

All the following things are tough to beat, but don't make me angry, cause they require talent of some sort.
Spawn-trapping takes teamwork and communication.
Quick-scoping takes skill and practice to do.
Drop-shooting takes skill, practice, and good reflexes to do.
All these things can kill, you, but the person(s) who use them actually need skill to use them to their advantage.
N00b-tubing, on the other hand, takes no skill, but kills me all the time. That's why it makes me mad.

WRONG. it's as easy as "hardscoping". you can't say it takes skill until they remove the crosshairs that snipers have while unscoped. plus with the shitload of aim assist, it's just scope in on general direction and get a kill. if you play on PC it's different but still takes no skill. spawn trapping is cheap too. all you need is to capture A&B/B&C. not all that much teamwork going on. if you wanna talk about teamwork try playing BFBC2

Demolition on mw2 had the worst spawns in the history of all spawns and on black ops is almost as bad. Spawn trapping is broken if your are within a certain radius they spawn in random spots or behind you

Spawn trapping is when your team actively pushes an enemy team back into their spawn. Spawn camping is pushing them far enough back for you to post up in a window and aim your sights down one lane for the rest of the game pickin people off as they try to get out of their predicament.
One is smart tactics, the other is a smart and fucking annoying tactic.

I remember watching a video about a week ago on machinimarespawn talking about the overpowered ak74u. The commentator talked about that it's overpowered, but thats it's in the game. You can choose to use it or not. If you hate the gun (or in this case, spawn trapping) you can choose to not use or do it. If you think your better or more 'fair' but not doing it, don't then. @MrClawzofdeath the idea behind the spawn trap is that you are keeping the enemy in a small cage so that they are unable to play the game. in some instances the enemy cant tell what direction they are facing before being mowed down by players who are essentially camping. the idea is that one team protects the targets on one side of the map while the other team spawns on the other side and tries to assault. when a spawn trap is formed it breaks the game. the targets are left unguarded
