87 octane tune. for a GT isn't that a downgrade in fuel meaning you had to have reduced the compression or something. or he is just detonating. pretty surprised somebody actually did that. probably was complicated to do. I just don't see why that shows up on the horsepower add on sheet.

Kinda like what mustang and camaro does with their cars when they put fake hood scoops on some of their cars right from the factory. Fake hood scoops, loud purposeless exhausts, stickers all over their cars. The WRX is designed to go fast. It's one of the more popular tuner cars like the Evo's, GT-Rs, Supras.

Yes my integra also eats ricers, but it isnt one... because it doesnt have prosethic mods, only ones under the hood, tranny, flywheel, suspension etc. None you can see... other than exhaust. But thats a very hard to notice one because i keep it quiet.
@lumz15 i wouldnt say that the v6 11 mustang is only pushing 304 to the flywheel i mean your looking at maybe 235-245 rwhp and even less torque sorry wrx wins form start to finish.

If you can find me an EVO for that money I'll take 10 of em. This mustang isn't slow for the mods listed, it was pretty quick and fun to drive and find me a subie for 5400
I don't take sides or down anyone etc, you gotta drive what you want, makes you happy and fits your style, but the Subaru has no top end because they are geared Lower for off the Line and Digg purposes. Against Higher end Mustangs with ought your life savings put into your Subie you can only maintain the lead off the jump for a short amount of time before being passed. Try it!, I owned my STI for 3 years and spent $3,500, trust me i've tried it all. The Avge Budget Sti can't beat a Cobra.
03/04 "Terminator" Cobra vs Subie anything= Terminated. I owned 04 Sti and currently own 03 Svt Cobra. I miss my Subie allot, but balls to the walls all day every day vs anything is my Cobra. The whole off the line thing doesn't really apply against the cobra unless the Subie has over $5,000 under the hood. Affordable Upgrades for the average Subie driver in todays economy is around $3,000 and that only gets you 270-290hp at the wheels and only a short lead before being passed, I've done it.
@killakdc5 N/A GT has no chance at the launch against a turbo charged AWD Subi. And if you grab the STi version, which is more price comparable to the GT than the WRX, there is no race.

For the record to the driver of the mustang...That year they rev out at 6300rpm! Not 4900! Lol 87 octane tune, the thing really wasn't set up for racing...Correctly, and the driver was mediocre...The Subaru was running 93 Octane...Like it says in the service manual....Mustangs run like crap with 87 octane. With all those parts and not the proper tune, he was losing horsepower. Cute though.

@yellow99mustang All I have done to my 1999 Mustang GT are, Thrush Glasspacks, A diablosport predator, with the 93 octane program running on my ecu, I cut my maf screen out of the gasket after the air box so there is around 25% less air resistance going into the engine, and I have Ford Racing 3:73 gears, and an OE spec Dorman intake manifold. LOL it is so much faster than this one its sad. :(

For the record to the driver of the mustang...That year they rev out at 6300rpm! Not 4900! Lol 87 octane tune, the thing really wasn't set up for racing...Correctly, and the driver was mediocre...The Subaru was running 93 Octane...Like it says in the service manual....Mustangs run like crap with 87 octane. With all those parts and not the proper tune, he was losing horsepower. Cute though.

@yellow99mustang All I have done to my 1999 Mustang GT are, Thrush Glasspacks, A diablosport predator, with the 93 octane program running on my ecu, I cut my maf screen out of the gasket after the air box so there is around 25% less air resistance going into the engine, and I have Ford Racing 3:73 gears, and an OE spec Dorman intake manifold. LOL it is so much faster than this one its sad. :(
