Jesus is talking about his earthly life, he came not to order people to serve him as King, but to serve humanity and bring the message of forgiveness to those around him. The word 'Trinity' is never used in the Bible, I'm not going to argue against that point, I agree w/ you. But if you've read through it, both Old and New Testament, the concept of it is laid out pretty clearly in both Old & New Testament in the original Hebrew and Greek.. That God is Father, God is also the Son (not literal son, but the person of Jesus), and also a Spirit is laid out in both the Old and New Testaments, if you want some examples, I'm happy to provide..

To them it meant the Divine reason that governed the universe became flesh.

@Ahmadrasulyeah Jesus Christ was conceived in a miraculous way, even Quaran says the same. It's not a silly story it's a story of how God loves people and hates sin, therefore He gives His Son as a pure sacrifice for the sins of humanity and so anyone who believes in the Love of God will not perish but have everlasting life.

He was a prophet; he sought to do God's WIll; they are one in purpose and will. See? You can reject that; but I DID give a logical counter-interpretation.

Please explain to me what "the gospel in its original form" means. What Muslims contend is the gospel in its original form is nothing more than the New Testament stripped of everything that contradicts the Quran. In other words, if it contradicts the Quran, it must be corrupted. Also, Muslims do not believe the Torah when the Quran literally rewrites the Torah by totally retelling events/stories in the Torah differently then what the Torah says, including the story of Lot?

You can say what you want, you can claim Jesus to be yours. But the fact and history remains that Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem. Nobody can change that history not even your slick speech. Muhammed was born 600 years later after Jesus Christ. So I choose to follow him and go to church because I don't believe in a war prophet and I don't believe in lying for the sake of the faith and I don't need 72 virgins I can love one wife that's enough. The "problem" with Jesus being a son of God - is not a problem, the problem is with people who claim him to be THE ONLY son of God.
Jesus called himself son of God AND son of man, he also called other people brothers and sisters and THE CHILDREN OF God - maybe not as humanity (but maybe stil), but definitely as FOLLOWERS OF God. He DID NOT allow people to worship himself but tought to PRAY TO FATHER IN HEAVEN (God).
He himself was an example of true follower (to be followed) of God.

@LiubovAzhueva SO, obviously...since their are no capital letters in the Semitic languages (Hebrew, Arabic, Aramaic, Syriac), the capital "S", in "son of god"; was a later addition when translated into English (by Christians who wanted to "spin" things their own way).

@Drooblemeister Cont. as man Jesus receives things from the Father, however so I will kindly ask the Christian bring this proof from the words of Jesus, they shall never be able to do it, this doctrine is an invention and not something to be found from Jesus.
So therefore in conclusion, Jn 10:30 proves nothing in support of the divinity of Jesus, it does not show equality, since Jesus made it clear that the Father is greater than him, so therefore Jesus is not equal with the Father.

1-The fact is the Bible shows that the Father is greater than Jesus in essence, the Father is all-knowing and Jesus is not. 2-The Father gives Jesus everything from miracle to doctrine. 3-Jesus begs the Father to save him, obviously showing that life and death is controlled by the Father and NOT Jesus. For all these arguments the Christian will say as man Jesus is not all-knowing

@Drooblemeister In fact this is not the first time that Jesus says the Father is greater than him, he does it again later: 28 Ye have herd how I said unto u, I go away, and come again 2 you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I (Jn 14:28) So here we once again have Jesus claiming the Father is greater than him, so how is Jesus equal to the Father when Jesus says the contrary? Jesus also says "I and the Father are one," and "Those who have seen me have seen the Father." Jesus is talking about his earthly life, he came not to order people to serve him as King, but to serve humanity and bring the message of forgiveness to those around him. If I may ask, have you read one of the gospel accounts of Jesus in it's entirety or have you read selected verses? I encourage/invite you sometime to check out the life of Jesus the Messiah for yourself sometime =) Peace,

The word 'Trinity' is never used in the Bible, I'm not going to argue against that point, I agree w/ you. But if you've read through it, both Old and New Testament, the concept of it is laid out pretty clearly in both Old & New Testament in the original Hebrew and Greek.. That God is Father, God is also the Son (not literal son, but the person of Jesus), and also a Spirit is laid out in both the Old and New Testaments, if you want some examples, I'm happy to provide..

I challenge you sometime to read through just 1 gospel brother and get the full context of what Jesus says about himself. There's 2 sides of every coin, if you knew the whole story of Jesus' life, you would understand Jesus' nature as both fully human, and fully divine.. The choice is up to you, but you are welcome.. Of course there's no contradictions in God's Word, but there's a difference between a contradiction and an unexplainable mystery, if anything should be a mystery to us humans, it's the nature of God, here's the thing, He's infinite and divine, we're finite. Bro, Jesus is not 1 of 3 gods, he's God Himself in human form. So yes, it's true God is only 1, and it's true that Jesus is Lord, not just a prophet, he's the very Word of Allah sent from heaven to us as the Quran testifies as well =)

Even if God could become His creation, why would He want to do that?!! And if it is true that God became Jesus and did indeed die for our sins (which sounds like a very drastic step to me), then the world as we know it today should be free of sin. If it is not free of sin, then what was the point in dying for our sins? What did it accomplish?!

The OT references the messiah as Divine in Isaiah 9:6 "A Son is given his name will be Prince of Peace, MIghty God and Everlasting father".
Micah 5:2 " Out of you Bethlehem even though you are small among the clans of judah from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days. The prophesy in the Torah is that the messiah would be from eternity.

Jesus as the Son of God never lost His divine knowledge and divine nature, but the Father is the person in Trinity who plans and sends, it doesn't mean that The Son is not God, it only means that there are differences in what they do, in their functions. So, if you really believe these words of Jesus (which correspond to your muslim faith), why don't you believe the other words which Jesus also said? Do you have double standarts?

There are many places in the Bible that testify of the Trinity concept. For example, in Genesis God said: Let US creat a man in OUR image... etc. Why did God then addressed Himself as US? If you look at the "agent' or representative of someone, you are metaphorically looking at their higher authority, who they represent. If you want scriptures that Jesus called God his Father I'll start with Matt.10:32 Matt.15:13, John 2;16, John 3;16 And John 3:17 and John 3:18,John 5:25 and many others. Also if you have an open heart and mind read Matthew and look up all the Old Testament scriptures that were fulfilled. A good place to start is Isa.7:14 and Isa.9:6.

Please explain to me what "the gospel in its original form" means. What Muslims contend is the gospel in its original form is nothing more than the New Testament stripped of everything that contradicts the Quran. In other words, if it contradicts the Quran, it must be corrupted. Whether the Trinity is right or wrong, if the Quran was really from God it would know what the teaching was and wouldn't grossly misrepresent it.

You can say what you want, you can claim Jesus to be yours. But the fact and history remains that Jesus was born from the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem. Nobody can change that history not even your slick speech. Muhammed was born 600 years later after Jesus Christ. @hetismij21 Ik zou juist niet in hem geloven als ik niks van hem wist. Ik geef me zelf over aan de Islam juist omdat ik alles over Mohammed weet. En religie gaat niet over die ene Profeet het gaat erom dat je leeft volgens het boekje. Ik leef dit leven liever volgens het boekje waarna ik het goede eeuwige leven verdien dan dat ik leef voor het genot en dan eeuwig zal lijden. Niks kan mij veranderen van deze gedachte want als je de Koran kent weet je dat dit het echte woord van Allah is.

The "problem" with Jesus being a son of God - is not a problem, the problem is with people who claim him to be THE ONLY son of God.
Jesus called himself son of God AND son of man, he also called other people brothers and sisters and THE CHILDREN OF God - maybe not as humanity (but maybe stil), but definitely as FOLLOWERS OF God. He DID NOT allow people to worship himself but tought to PRAY TO FATHER IN HEAVEN (God).
He himself was an example of true follower (to be followed) of God.

@unitasetmagus you are rather mistaken! Jesus allowed to worship Himself - read carefully!!! For example, when apostle Thomas worshipped Jesus, after Jesus's resurrection, He never denied that worship!!!! And when apostle Peter said that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of the Living God - Jesus said this truth was revealed to Peter by His Heavenly Father.Have you ever read about the Messiah?Read, for instance, the book of prophet Isaiah! All prophesies about Messiah speak about His divine nature

@LiubovAzhueva I actually love Issiah. But um...what exactly makes you think the prophesized messiah is divine??? And I beleive may have already said this to you, but: "son" of God, as used by the ancient Hebrews in Jesus time and looooong before; meant someone who is very pious and righteous. MANY people are the "sons" of God in the Bible. And don't say it is different when applied to Jesus, because of the capital "S"...in Hebrew, there are no capital letters.

@LiubovAzhueva SO, obviously...since their are no capital letters in the Semitic languages (Hebrew, Arabic, Aramaic, Syriac), the capital "S", in "son of god"; was a later addition when translated into English (by Christians who wanted to "spin" things their own way).

It is a mistake to think God makes mistakes and can not hold his word true amongst men, as it is the words of Mathew and John who are the two candlesticks of the Lord, who's gives light unto the world, the light of the world, Jesus Christ, in whom faith manifest the living God amongst men. For it was God who enrobed in flesh and dwelt among men that we might have faith and be saved, under the laws of Moses, and the promise to Abraham, that the children of Noah might be redeemed by His sacrifice.

@SeekTruthinLight Who told Quran is true?Do you know Quran was written after Mohhamed's death and some suras were written from the words of only one wittness?Have you ever known that in the beginning there had been several versions of Quran and,I may be mistaken in the name,Osman chose one version and commanded to burn all the others not to confuse the followers?Learn your story and open your eyes!Bible has many proofs. God saved qumran scrolls for the purpose of proving the truth of the Book!

@LiubovAzhueva The Bible DOES have many proofs... If you care to do open-minded research, even the testamony of MANY MANY Christian Biblical scholars; they will tell you of the proof...that the Bible is CORRUPT. Yes indeed...there is MUCH proof as to it's fraudulence.
