  • @DrivebyRabbi The one from South Africa is best

  • oh, it showed the goodmans...i miss them so much.

  • I love Jay!!!

  • one of the best!

  • I love to see how the Gaither friends sit in amazment at the quality and talent of this group.

  • I agree with most of the comments, I think Tim is by far the best bass for GC, Jonathan wilburn is probably my favorite lead and Ivan Parker. In my opinion though the Cathederals were the best all around Quartet ever and Gold City a close second. Kingsmen and Inspirations have to rank up there high with influencing a generation also.

  • Who is the HIGH tenor guy ?

  • @ftjax Jay Parrack

  • The bass singer is low ! Who's the tall slim man singer high tenor ?

  • It just doesn't get any better than this for Southern Gospel! Thanks for posting!

  • Jonathan Wilburn is one of the most vocally resourceful singers ever. I think he is the best lead GC had, along with Ivan Parker.

  • those are some powerful G#1s

  • @frb052 It was recorded on Gold City's "A Gold City Christmas" CD. You can find this CD on itunes. I'm sure you could find it on Amazon too.

  • Gold city and indiana Bible collage are good groups to listen to!

  • In my opinion, these four men formed the greatest Southern Gospel quartet of our generation, if not of all time. Wish they would get back together.

  • wonderful

  • simply amazing

  • you can find their cd's in a lot of christian bookstores. That's where i got mine. good luck!

  • I am not giving up! My daughter lost her right foot a while back she is 14. I was diagnosed with MS in July of this year and some other health issues. The plumbing in my home was leaking apparently under the floor and I fell through..got bitten by a brown recluse spider and had surgery...then yesterday the car broke down and the bills piling up...BUT>>I AM NOT GIVING UP..CAUSE SOON VERY SOON WE WONT HAVE TO WORRY OR SUFFER ANYMORE

  • have you ever seen a more beautiful gal?

  • @hoover4000 who is the big black man in the blue suit, he seems to be more happy and blessed then most i see he just strikes me as a great guy, i'd like to look him up and listen to him sing.

  • @dizzylilkitten i could be mistaken, but i think his name is Marvin Matthews

  • @hoover4000 yes Ma'am that is his correct name i looked him up not alot ou tthere that i could find but non the less his voice is amazing and when you hear him you hear the power a nd voice of the lord pullin gyou in the right direction.. im doing alot of soul searching and im trying to get back to livign for God and doing his work he has for me... as I pray for many blessing on you, please pray for me, as i feel i am living with the devil himself, i need prayers to guide me in the right paths

  • THIS SONGS THE BEST!!!

  • Bravo, mai baieti!

  • muito bom.

  • Excelente....GREAT...muy bueno....

    sin palabras....

  • This is the best Gold City Qt. ever no question.

  • Jonathan Wilburn, Jay Parrack, Mark Trammell, Tim Riley, and Tim Parton . . . that was Gold City in my college days, and was the version I remembered the most. (Always include the pianist in a quartet!)

Jonathan's personality reminded me of Shelley Breen when I met him. Always a good sense of humour. I can't imagine what he'd say if I admitted I love opera sopranos, and said Jay couldn't sing notes of a Kerri Roberts.

  • Look at those reactions from the crowd. WOW!!

  • Best Gold City lineup... BY FAR!!!

  • Rock on Tim!! I miss his rumbling bass notes.

  • SWEET!!!

  • Jay always would put em on their feet!

I miss this group so much

  • Somebody better go get the tenor out of the rafters and tim out of the foundation on the last note!! Love it and great song!!

  • Yeah!! Tim's the best bass singer ever see... =)

  • @pardorock it's a 4-way tie between him, George Younce, Tim Duncan (Signature Sound), and the bass for the Oak Ridge Boys

  • @pardorock i like paul david kennamer myself

  • A W E S O M E !!! =]

  • One of my favorite bass singers

  • the lady at 2:25 who is that ? ty

  • charlotte ritchie

  • this song brings back many memories probably the first iem i ever heard this group was this song. took a few times of hearing it to find out who sang it. This lead singer one of the best in the business

  • The lead singer on the original recording was David Hill. By this point, David had left the group and now leads the David Hill Trio.

  • i know tim riely personally i have his email and home phone number i have been going to there concerts sence i was a baby each time we took my church and i have a bunch of pics with me and him

  • I left my cookies at home sorry, or I'd offer you one

  • Tim's the best!!!

  • oh my goodness i know! haha his note shook my desk hahaha!!

  • good job gents

  • This fella is one of the better Gold City lead singers. Why do southern gospel groups change members so often?

  • i think there is not alot of money in it, alot of traveling, hard life, plus usually one person owns the group and he usually cant pay enough to keep them once they become popular since they can go solo or join another group, ie jake hess, george younce/glen, gaither , etc. it provides alot of variety and new talent so its not all bad.

  • Man I miss Jay and Jonothan!

  • Tim Riley is great!

  • go tim!

  • did squire parsons write this song? a friend of mine said he was pretty sure he did! great job by gold city!!

  • hey what year was this made

  • Gold City originally recorded this song in 1995 with David Hill singing lead. This version was recorded not too long after Jonathan Wilburn joined the group in 1996.

  • I just love this. I don't really know why, but it's a great song, and Tim Riley is the coolest man in the world...

  • There Lead reminds me of a Young Jim Hill, anyone else think that??

  • their lead is great...i love listening to tim riley..so many bass singers are "how low can you go?' tim actually can carry a tune.

i don't think the tenors like this one dont get enough credit.. he is phenomenal.

  • Comment removed

  • the piano goes to A0 J.D hit C1

  • 2:26 OMG!!!!!

  • great message in this song
