the crazy thing is how long tim can hold that low note.. it takes alot of air to get that low and he seems to hold it forever..very few basses could do that.
This is one of my all time favorite songs, and I'd rather hear it by Gold City than just about anyone else! I've heard that Tim Riley has committed to traveling and singing bass with the group yet again... Is this true?
love this song! is truly is great and as soon as i think i am carryin more than i can bare in life this song keeps me goin..amazing song and message in the song...love it....also a song i sing as a special at my church!
this is the music i grew up on and still love it so much......used to sing with my grandmother and several other family members was the only one who could hit the high notes
Man... I beleive the leads name is Jonathan? Well regardless he hit that note at 3:00 with relative ease. He should do some tenor for another group since he left Gold City! Lol
@n4sir804 The black guy is Marvin Matthews. He went to my aunt's house a couple years ago. OH boy can he sing! That side of the family they are all talented it was a blast.
Lifting our Lord UP in praise and worship, helps lifts my spirit UP, love it, sharing with our world, please do keep those blessings coming, God Bless ;D Feeling His Presence all around me singing along with this song, thank you :)
I agree with most of the comments, I think Tim is by far the best bass for GC, Jonathan wilburn is probably my favorite lead and Ivan Parker. In my opinion though the Cathederals were the best all around Quartet ever and Gold City a close second. Kingsmen and Inspirations have to rank up there high with influencing a generation also.
I am not giving up! My daughter lost her right foot a while back she is 14. I was diagnosed with MS in July of this year and some other health issues. The plumbing in my home was leaking apparently under the floor and I fell through..got bitten by a brown recluse spider and had surgery...then yesterday the car broke down and the bills piling up...BUT>>I AM NOT GIVING UP..CAUSE SOON VERY SOON WE WONT HAVE TO WORRY OR SUFFER ANYMORE
@hoover4000 who is the big black man in the blue suit, he seems to be more happy and blessed then most i see he just strikes me as a great guy, i'd like to look him up and listen to him sing.
@hoover4000 yes Ma'am that is his correct name i looked him up not alot ou tthere that i could find but non the less his voice is amazing and when you hear him you hear the power a nd voice of the lord pullin gyou in the right direction.. im doing alot of soul searching and im trying to get back to livign for God and doing his work he has for me... as I pray for many blessing on you, please pray for me, as i feel i am living with the devil himself, i need prayers to guide me in the right paths
the blond girl is gaither's daughter who also writes many songs, but it seems like every one has a big smile on their faces. by the way, tim is back with the group full time

Jonathan's personality reminded me of Shelley Breen when I met him. Always a good sense of humour. I can't imagine what he'd say if I admitted I love opera sopranos, and said Jay couldn't sing notes of a Kerri Roberts.
this song brings back many memories probably the first iem i ever heard this group was this song. took a few times of hearing it to find out who sang it. This lead singer one of the best in the business
i know tim riely personally i have his email and home phone number i have been going to there concerts sence i was a baby each time we took my church and i have a bunch of pics with me and him
i think there is not alot of money in it, alot of traveling, hard life, plus usually one person owns the group and he usually cant pay enough to keep them once they become popular since they can go solo or join another group, ie jake hess, george younce/glen, gaither , etc. it provides alot of variety and new talent so its not all bad.
Gold City originally recorded this song in 1995 with David Hill singing lead. This version was recorded not too long after Jonathan Wilburn joined the group in 1996.
Father i pray for this Jamarion06, whatever he or she is going through i ask that you would give them the strength to get through the pain or suffering, and ask a special blessing for them for this next week.
