@SgtTarkov Agreed Completely. I remember first playing this game and it gave me chills every time. Definately makes you feel like your fighting a war you can't win or your one of the last humans on a planet. This is one of the few songs they should've carried over into the other games.

Wow, nostalgia. I remeber when we first got this game. Me my brother and my brother's friend would play this all the time Co-Op. Good times. This menu theme made me feel the grimness of the first game and how its rising to a much more joyful scenario. This game felt much more darker than its sequels and I'll say it was damn good.

@KoojaYooba yeah that's what i keep thinking as well. in gears 2 you notice the lighting of the game is different, the locust are easier to kill, and the game isn't as terrifying..the feeling of "humanity on the brink of destruction" is gone

Because this song is kinda the overall GOW Theme IMO. It perfectly matches the atmosphere and the setting of the whole trilogy.

Gears of War 2 was complete garbage, Epic Games decided to create their own servers for the game so us gamers would think "host advantage" was be gone..well it turns out us gamers bit off more than we could chew because, the first day it came out there were so many glitches/malfunctions/errors etc and it was to the point were the Epic Games/Unreal team had to do "Daily" repairs. It still sucks major ass. But Gears of War 3 I hope will be the best of both.

Gears 1 was epic. I personally think it was a slightly a horror game (I use to shit myself when i saw the Beskerker lol =]). I still play the story mode over and over.

Gears 2 story mode wasn't as good, but I still think it was awesome.

Hopefully, Gears 3 will be better than both of them :).
