Wood tools now last for 60 uses, and gold last for 30/33 or whatever. Gold tools work faster than diamond, at the price of 30ish uses. However, hoeing being instantaneous, a golden hoe is useless. A gold sword also doesn't do extra damage and thus also useless.

@TheFlippingFish he doesnt need to use it : the test concludes that the how ignores the fact that gold last as long as wood for tools but the durability still keeps the same order in regards to the rarity of the used components (wood,stone,gold,diamond)

This all makes sens considering that a hoe unlike other tools needs to be sharp, not especially hard and of course, gold being easier to mold would be easier to sharpen ^^
