Pimped XP.... I'll turn deinterlacing tonight... there was some 'glitches' which i suspect was due to interlacing.. turned it off cuz i needed all the juice just to decode the HD DVD.
I'll get hold of AnyDVD n see if the HD DVD comes out better or not.
I know the Blu-Ray source should be decrypted since it was cut up so someone could burn it to 7 dvds...
Nice XP. :) Waiting for the deinterlace results. In CoreAVC there are different modes for this, i'm interested about Bob (which makes the playback 50fps) and what's the faster from Blend and Hardware (maybe GMA950 has capabilities for hardware deinterlacing, maybe not). Are you using the latest CoreAVC? (1.8.0.0)
Never used AnyDVD but i think it's a good idea to try out :)
Hey, i just had time to watch it. Great job, thanks for doing it, i'm just linkin it to the forum. Conclusion: 1080i DVB-T is not an issue for the dual-core Atom. By the way, did you enabled deinterlacing in CoreAVC while playing these clips (if you didn't notice interlacing then it was enabled by default; from this small resolution i can't tell it) Oh, and the audio was late, but i guess it only depends on the MPEG splitter you used.

Oh, and i forgot this one: what OS are you using? Is it Vista, or a pimped XP? :)

Are the source files from Blu-ray and HD-DVD has encryption? Maybe the HD-DVD source uses harder one which requires more CPU power to decrypt.
