C'mon man...its a great little set up for a beginner. Buy something like this at first and if you find you have the bug then go something better. But for a 1st guitar you can't go wrong.
I'd rather save up and get something better, i've seen this deal, a measly 10W amp and it just looks shit imo, wonder what the action an intonation is like on this. With guitars, you get what you pay for
@SchecterZV Yeah, for christams I got a Parker p44, it's normally around £500 second hand but because the guy in the shop is friendly I got it for £325, its amazing in so many ways. The only problems are that my room is in the loft so I keep banging the headstock on the ceiling and the strap keeps falling off so the end of the tremolo is cracked
I bought an Encore (the same as this but black) second hand for £70 about 16 years ago! I learned to play with it and still have it now. I got it out the bag recently after not playing it for over a year and it was still almost in perfect tune! The finish is tough and glossy and everything works nicely. The only gripe I have is the cheap feeling screw in tremolo arm. Otherwise - Great guitar for the money!
But is it good considering the price? As a beginner I don't care if it isn't the perfect tone, as long as it sounds decent enough so that I don't feel like giving up
look around and you should be able to find a second hand vintage SG for under that, i got mine for 90 second hand, its in perfect condition and im still using it to gig with now, its a great guitar for the price range.
Oh also saw a few going for 70 quid around where i live
I got my encore package, (My first guitar) I've been learning a few famous riffs and some chords, and I'd just like to know, when the time comes, should I upgrade my guitar or amp to improve the sound? If it affects my choice, by the way, I am playing classic rock n' roll. Thanks.
i have an encore les paul and the amps u get with these guitars r terrible but the guitar its self no matter what others say is a great beginngers amp
hi everyone i just bought the encore its the black one on the right hand side at the front, im struggling to get the "rock guitar sound" from it any know why? cheers
I think it's because Trevor Wilkinson has worked on both makes of guitar.. the Vintage V100 sounds better though, shame it can't be bought in a starter pack like the Encores.
when i started playing guitar i got a encore, i would recommend spendign a bit more money and getting a yamaha pacifica 112 instead, they are amazing for the price

I can not fault mine ive had it for 6 months and all is still fine.
the amp is the only problem its not exactly the best. But will do when you are just beginning to learn to play

I wouldn't buy any one of these guitars unless you are impatient or need it now. I would save up and buy an epiphone or a squier guitar

PLEASE ANSWER!!!! can an encore replica of a stratocaster get the same wierd whiny sound in solo's and distortion sound like other guitars?
UltimateSonicFan0001 2 years ago
You need a guitar amp with a distortion knob or a pedal connected 2 an amp

Is Encore EBP any good. I'm a beginner so anything that is cheap and sounds decent is good enough for me.

tbh ther not bad guitars my 1st guitar was an Encore and it was ok.
aslong as you have a good amp it should be ok
conformistkiller666 2 years ago
Should have checked reviews and experiences using Google or on here.
I own one, from a year's experience, I'll say it sucks.
