  • Very, very, very good!!!

  • Worlds Apart was one of the best albums of the 80's

  • too much... too much progressive for that year.

they have fell proud to be created this amazing combination of instruments

  • This is there very best song.

  • if u love this music check WORK OF ART THE GREAT FALL

  • Damn... I'm 16 again... flying down the highway in my '67 Impala, 327cid. No other girl in town had a car like that.

  • Damn... I'm 16 again... flying down the highway in my '67 Impala, 327cid. No other girl in town had a car like that.

  • I really like this band. Honestly makes me more proud to be Canadian. These guys live have 4 piano/syn on stage and sound better live then on album. Very distinguished type of music and not many that play anything like it.

  • 80;s music rules!!!!!!

  • God this takes me back to a time when life was SOOOOOO different, man dont the times change, Use to crank this up driving down the road in the old chevy blowing the speakers

  • Why does this song have 4 times as many views as Time's Up?

In my opinion Time's Up is the best song Saga ever made, Don't Be Late as the second and maybe Humble Stance or Wind Him Up as third.... Weird.

  • @Kinjutsuu exactly, your opinion!

  • i was13 and on the loose!

  • @MrBattleofmarathon Definitely!

  • Tremenda Canción.......Clasico de Clásicos

  • hahahaha cool song!!!! Like the melody. ^^

  • 2:24 makes me cum

  • This is such a classic underrated song. The vocals and music are just amazing.

  • Woooooooohoooooooooooo!

  • This song takes me and Spot to Tralfamadore every time. We like it there with Montana Wildhack. It's the only place a woman like her could exist (in a fantasy). Reality is shit and so are most woman. They don't want love. They require; need, necessity or lust. And so do I, but I have nothing to give.

  • "Sah'-guh" :) That's how you pronounce it.

  • Still a great song. Was my favorite early MTV song. Wish they had played it more back in the day.

  • I LOVE IT!!! KISKISSKISSKISSS!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • That tandem keyboard/ guitar part is the shit.

  • My wife thinks this band is called "Say-ga", I say "Saw-ga". If anyone knows for sure, please chime in....

  • @TargetITResources Its "Saw-ga" even though radio announcers sometimes mistakenly say "Say-ga"

  • @TargetITResources The dictionary pronunciation of the word saga is saw-ga. As such this is how you say the bands name.

  • LO MEJOR DE LOS 80s

  • amazing shit man.. i first heard this song when my dad cranked it up on my living room stereo. i was like who's this... "SAGA".... THANKS DAD!!! :P

  • Saga opened the show for Sammy Hagar back in early 1983 - good show. Sammy was on the Standing Hampton tour - Saga was a good band - very good live - I remember them playing On the Loose like it was yesterday......

  • hey its very rar music, but the best tracks of them are so unkown its very difficult to find it here or anywhere else.

  • This song was great....took me a couple of years to find this.

  • Easily one of my favorite songs to rock out to in the car when it comes on the radio. Love!

  • SAGA WAS AND STILL IS ONE OF THE BEST CANADIAN BANDS EVER....

  • awesome group...awesome electronic music from 1981!

  • somebodys mom is on the loose. la la la la WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tell me all about it I love you

  • This is fantastic! I love the idea of showing outer space pics with the song, which is one of my favorites from them. Thanks for posting!

  • Looks like eight people were jamming so hard they knocked their mouse off the desk and accidentally hit dislike....

  • saga kicks ass man i heard it on the radio and it's not played nearly enough for all the crap they do play they should play more of this. awesome

  • @Jtunes101 it would be fresh today too wouldn't it!

  • a 153,362 people know good music !!

  • I sure miss the original MTV, that was music n video at it's finest !!!!! Fine days of music they were!

  • Seen them in concert in the 80's: they opened for Eddie Money. The singer did the ultra fast synth part in the middle of the song with one hand! They rocked!

  • did i mention ... groovy!

  • According to Opie & Anthony, this is a "Fag Song That Rocked."

  • Saga, a quintessential band that contnues to define the meaning of the message of rock music

  • great song and video. The video go`s with the song

  • AWESOME!!! Love the song, LOVE the images!!

  • "On the loose" is one of the best songs I have ever heard, and the video is great!!

  • Saga, Rush, Chilliwack, BTO, The Guess Who, Triumph and on and on and on...

(Speaking of Gino - how about Gino Soccio, from Mtl, as well)

  • 1 of the best songs of its time!

  • I always liked their music, but it can be difficult to locate..thanks for posting!

  • Love this song, reminds me of when I was young n having more fun than I am now, lol!!! Thats life!

  • Thanks for posting! This song kicks ass to this day!!!!!

  • I'm new to youtube music, I'm so glad this here. I had the cassette, but broke and can't anymore. This was the best to get in the car and just drive and forget you troubles and CRANK it. Thank you for posting!!!!!!

  • génial !!

  • This song will always KICK ASS!!, ROCK ON or EFF IT!. ORIGINAL SAGA RULES!. "yes I can see your point thinice1 about the similarities Michael does have Gino characteristics but Gino has way more range than Michael just on Bro to Bro cd alone.cheers

  • This vid is AWESOME!!!

  • @castlecolten You can say that again!

  • The lead singer reminds me of Gino Vannelli. I'd bet he has listened to Gino's stuff alot ! Any other Gino fans out there. If not, call up some of his songs and I'm sure you'll agree with my comment.

  • @thinice1

that's pretty cool. I'm a huge music fan and my taste goes from jazz to big hair bands/ good stuff like this. I love "people gotta' move" from Gino. I'm sure u know it, too. Take care...

  • Nobody! and I mean nobody! can replace Perry as the voice of Journey! Aint a happening....... "Jagar"

  • Pineda aint even the beginning of a pimple on Steve Perry's ass!... You are comparing the "Voice" with that kareoke singer Pineda?.... lol. Shame on you for even thinking such a thing...Long live the "original" Journey with the "Voice"..... "Jagar"

  • I gotta say ,,, this song stays with you..))) / Me! Cheers!

  • @ACERAMGAD the visual fundamentals compliment it too.

  • @Ypipable indeed!

  • @ACERAMGAD yes ,,,saga mexico

  • @flyemirates are you an Aussie??

  • No.. why would you think that?

  • Greetings to all of you.

I WAS THERE... Saw in concert Saga,Genesis,Boston,Foreigner,Rush,Police,

    Back in the 80's.... Peace..

Just saw AC/DC few weeks ago!!!

  • you mainstream radio bands listen to this song and then ask yourself why do you suck so much.

  • saw them in the 80s in munich. it still works.

  • Works for me tranquilatus, thanks.

  • The music of this time is ageless, hahahahahahaha!

  • One of the hottest groups of their time! my faves too

  • They Blew Billy Squier away in 1983 @ Long Beach.......& then Def Leppard Opened for Him. Never saw that show.

  • that was the 1st concert i ever saw!

def leppard opend for billy in denver co.

i dont think ive smoked that much pot since ;P

  • exellent videorama btw!

    tyvm4p

  • Well, I'm not a Stoner myself. I prefer Suds & a D.D., But I'm no saint, either. "Smoked that much Pot?" I'll Bet that after that Show, no Pizza, Hot Dog, or Wet Vagina was safe!! Rock On, "Bro! {But be safe, too, for others as well as yourself.}

  • If you like most of the bands I listed, you would really enjoy Bad Company and Genesis, another band that I really like but forgot to mention earlier is Journey

  • Singer Arnel Pineda?? Go See them! Arnel is the Right guy to replace Steve Perry, & I'm not even a Flip! And, Arnel's respectful & Grateful to Journey for the Opportunity to Join them! Seen Journey 3 times with Steve Perry & Last August with Pineda.

  • FlyEmirates27 your not alone, Im 22 and my favorite bands are Pink Floyd, Scorpions, SAGA, STYX, ACDC, Boston, Bad Company and Genesis.

The new music today just doesnt have the mojo that the music my parents grew up on had, and that is why the classics are the best.

  • Haha, thanks, mate. But, just too many people in my/our age listen to bloody rubbish music! I really can't stand it! The bands you just listed are quality, mate. Don't know too much about Bad Company and Genesis, though, only a couple of songs.

  • @FlyEmirates27

I like Genesis, but Bad Company trumps them by miles!

I highly recomend the first three Bad Co. albums, thats: Bad Company, Straight Shooter and Runnin' With The Pack. Not a bad song on any of them!

One of the finest Supergroup's in Rock'n'Roll history as all of the members were previously in hugely successfull band's prior to Bad Co. (Free, Mott The Hoople ect.)

  • @Mytoob69

The best supergroup is ELP in my opinion.

  • I'll give it a shot, mate. Cheers.

  • Very cool Song. And a great collection of Fotographs and artwork. Very inspiring!

  • With "musical bands", I mean music performed by artists, not by a ¤%&/(&/ computer...

  • Am I the only one in my age (I'm 19) loving Saga? It surely feels like it... I would love it to be the mid 80's right now... I can only imagine how it was listening to real, musical bands when they were really on top. I envy you all... Why can't people in my age stop listening to their crappy "music" (it's a shame calling it music, though, when it's just some guy who mixed some noises up on his computer) and start listening to music/songs with proper lyrics and just understand what's good music!

  • dude im right there with ya!! im 21 and all about music of this sort/genre. Do you like MGMT they are a newer band with an 80's psychadelic influence, they're pretty damn good...

  • I grew up in the 80's. Saga was one of the great progressive bands of the time. Along with Rush Triumph and many other. Many of the great progressive Rock bands come from Canada. Not to say that good bands didn't come from the US, you just wouldn't find a lot on top 40. You will find that great rock bands (with real musicians making real music) are still out there. Check out Satellite radio 80's station. It's pretty close to actually being in the 80's.

  • Perfect in Vorst National Brussels, great song guys.

  • Wow, wow, 80;s !!!!

  • great song brings me back a few years.

  • These guys were one of the best bands of the '80's. Every single track on this album is worth hearing. It's great to let this entire CD blast away on road trips.

  • i could imagine

  • Yeah man! Saga!! Anyone who listens to the Nick Digillio Show on WGN Radio will get that reference xD

  • i first heard this one in college and it still sounds great today.

  • the space shot of Florida at the end is a really nice touch...but I guess I'm partial, being from Tampa and all...the song rocks, the video is great, and I am another one who hasn't heard the names KSJO and KOME (or KFOG, for that matter) since maybe 1986...that was a true blast from the past and some REALLY good memories! thanx nickmitsialis and dougfckn steele for the memory!

  • such underated keyboardist and guitarist

  • Great song, beautiful pictures.

  • such an underrated 80's band...

  • @DallasKass they were very under rated...little bit before there time possibly with this cool electronic genre!

  • Vous avez fait un bon travail avec cette vidéo. Merci

  • LOVE that song!

  • awsome video

  • Staccato rock! A Canadian invention.

    Rip it up boys!.

  • this was and still is a great song!!!

  • Saw these guys live way back when they opened for Jethro Tull. Tull almost didn't come out for their show....I wonder why?....:)

  • Thanks so much for the beautiful ways you used the astronomical images in this video!! great song also -and also thanks for "Lady of Shallot" for another video and song I love-it is one of my favorite paintings-all the best!!

  • Hard to believe this song is almost 30 years old. Where does the time go?

  • Great song. It really takes me back to being a kid in the 80s, hanging out in a video arcade playing Zaxxon and Defender. Sweet video, too.

  • LOL nice. How about Gorf and Missile Command?

  • These guys fucking ROCK!! I remember hearing this on KOME and KSJO radio back in the 80's, as well as on MTV, where I first saw them..

  • Doug: I remember them on MTV-back when they actually PLAYED music videos-I thought the performance was Dynamite! Hey KOME & KSJO-those are a couple of stations names I haven't heard in DECADES! They were in San Jose/SF right?

  • KSJO is now gone unfortunately. I think KOME is as well. KUFX plays classic rock in San Jose.

  • me to......................aparte

  • IM ON DA LOOSE!!!!

  • Solo is the best part of song!

  • Yeahhh Im Looose in spacee Wii hoooo!!! SAGA The Spaceship Yeahhh!

  • An excellent song from a talented progressive rock band. I love to rock out to this song every time they play it on the radio. Beautiful space pictures, too.

  • Perfect song for a Pepsi commercial!

  • love this song

  • 3:00 = The best Space image that i have ever seen

  • @futili: Not the best I have seen, but you got a good eye for a good one, no doubt.

Try looking at M81. One of my faves <3.

    @uploader: Rox songz!

  • Ohh good old memories!memories !

  • I saw Saga years ago at Livewire in Calgary. From what I remember it was a blast and this song is a blast from the past!!!

  • is 2:06 A REAL IMAGE?

  • No. That's a space painting. If I am not mistaken I think it is by Angus McKie.

  • It was weird. The LP came out in early 81(my senior year in high school) but I don't remember any airplay of this (or any other) song until sometime in 82.' Radio stations here weren't playing "On The Loose" until 82.'

  • Come to think of it.....your right. I was 10 in 82. And the local station, WDVE (102.5) here in Pittsburgh, Pa was the 1st to play it. I can listen to this, Red Ryder and Blue Oyster Cult all day. They play SAGA on channel 15 on Sirius alot as well.

  • VIVA LOS 80'S!!!

  • Great video....Love the pics!

  • Nice Images Tranquilatus!

  • So I'm not the only one who associated this song with stars and galaxies.

  • Someone telle me to make a ivdeod of me singing htgis osong and i will and u watch it

  • thanks for this post great song!!!!!

  • I finished my University at the sound of 'On the Loose' !! The world was young, (quite an apple !), and I was a wolf...

"Live dangerously !, die young !"

  • Awesome! A song that was way ahead of its time in 1981! Great job on the "animation" of the video ......."Jagar"

  • This song is a little cheesy but very good. The 80s had its charms.

  • GREAT SONG AND NICE VIDEO, ENJOY IT !!!

  • nah nah nah vete vete lejos, the best music!

  • If you want to hear this great tune, tune into XM radio's channel #8.. 80's greatest hits! wooo hoooooooo

  • yEAH THIS SONG IS GREAT MAN I'M HAPPY TO HEAR IT

  • space...

  • The best Song from Saga, sounds really good!

  • this never gets played on radio it makes me mad they don't play it

  • If you have one of those "we play anything" radio stations in your town, you might get lucky. I heard this today on the radio... so I needed to hear it again.

  • my local classic rock station plays Saga, Loverboy, Foreigner, and all 80s rock bands of the like. Also Streetheart, which was Loverboy minus singer and guitarist.

  • The charts were full of American 'cock rock' and cheesy ballads in March 1983, and the so-called "Second British Invasion" of 'New Wave' was just re-packaged. American funk and soul from the 60s & 70s, sung with an accent over drum machines (ABC, Human League, Spandau Ballet). When this song hit the charts, it sounded 'intense'.

Image, gimmicks and good marketing made Duran Duran and Frankie Goes to Hollywood much more famous. Talented musicians like this never stood a chance!

  • .....and we can all thank MTV for that.

A fact that JOURNEY recognised early on and wanted no part of.

  • This song came out when I was a senior in high school. I listen to music I used to like from back then, and I'm embarrased by much of it. So sappy and corny. But this song, and this group, still sound like the cutting edge that they were in 1982. Awesome stuff, and a great video with the space theme. Some of that looks like Hubble images, and some are original paintings. Great stuff, thanks for the vid!

  • I agree with what you said about this tune still sounding cutting-edge.

The musicians in this band really are fantastic.

I was a drummer for years so I really appreciate music that holds its value over the years and this song does for sure.

    Great riffs and licks throughout.

  • Erotic88 here just wishing all you (80s) freaks the best!......and you are all right! certainly, one of the best music around then & still AWESOME!!!! Enjoy it all while we have it see you all 20 years from now! later...

  • This was the 1st video I ever saw on MTV. Awesome song

  • this is only for real fans of all good and fine rock,in canada is there another gran band voidvoid...and of course rush...

  • I am pretty sure that there was a music video for this song. If I remember correctly, it was mostly concert footage.

  • sad there was never a music video for this epic rock classic

  • Great son right along with Wind Him Up.Worlds Apart and then SAGA just disappeared?

  • Not really, they just basically relocated to Europe and continued to be a dominant force over there. They sporatically had success in North America after that but not like they did during this time.

  • the space art goes good with the album it really does

  • Pure rock and roll! And I'm a teenager.

  • brings back alot of memorys

  • This is so good I got chills. I pity these kids today with their rap and "guitar hero".

  • ur an idiot. theres rock and roll on guitar hero and ud like it if u played it

  • My all time favorite song from 1981! SAGA put Europe on the map with their excellent style of music! Made me want to take up the keyboard and tickle the keys like they did! Thanks for the cool celestial show!

  • They sure did! Not bad for a band that is from Canada!!

  • OMG! I thought they were from England! Are you sure about the Canada thing!? Nothing wrong with that, heck, Triumph & Rush rock the great white north, eh! Weren't most of their songs produced in London?

  • Oh yeah, they are very Canadian. Unfortunately, they did not make a real dent on the music scene. Sure they did well with a handfull of songs but it was in Europe that they really took off. I believe that after a while they relocated and were living in Germany. Check out wikipedia on them.

  • Awesome song...

    Hooks everywhere....1978

  • Forgot about this band from the 80s, but they were really good, and this was a powerful song that rocked our barracks nightly. Heard the song

on Jack-FM and was like wow, head to itunes and buy the album. :)
