JS, I'm sorry I missed this vid, I was moving to Fort Worth when you made it, so I completely overlooked it.

I as classically autistic as a kid with all the earmarks. However, while I disagree with a whole lot of Savage's comments about general things, I happen to agree with his views on Autism. I heard the show when it aired, and it was geared "more" toward that racket industry that's made itself off of exploiting kids and vying for grants.

yeah, I thought it was funny how he tried to spin it saying his quotes were taken out of context. In context, it's EVEN more horrifying.

Well I think he might have a bit of a point.

But how he said it was a bit sad.

I agree, the problem with his original statement is he didn't say how we could determine autism with tests. So, who's to say one kid is autistic and which kid just needs to "cut it out"? That's why people are mad, I think. Because it was callous and he didn't offer any good ideas on how to change things.

Sure, people might be "faking the illness", but how does he know for sure?
