The only thing I can think of for Ghostbusters 3 is bringing them bk, but digitally enhancing all those actors faces, with cgi, to make them look younger still, similar to what they did with Brad Pitt and Patrick Stewart. Cus the reason I say this is, I just honestly can think of any fresh new actors of today, suitable to carry on the torch of these guys, and still give us that same feel as the previous films, they were so of that time. I think Murray kinda must feel like this too.

The video game is also in canon to the movies and Dan Aykroyd said that it will probably be mentioned in the new movie. In it, Louis Tully was still working for the Ghostbusters, but was out sick during the events taking place at the time.

I think by now they understand the firestorm in the fan community that would happen if they recast Peter Venkman. I do think Bill Murray will do it. The thing is, the past few years he has made his interest in Ghostbusters very apparent by the recent video game, the cameo and Slimer catching recreation scene in Zombieland, and the Scream Awards suit-up. I think all of this is to gauge the audience on how serious we are about wanting a new movie. All four of them will be back.
bill murray doesn't want ghostbusters ending up like terminator and I don't blame him. ghostbusters 1&2 kicks ass and there is no way they could make a better one so let it be. we need to think of new ideals instead of ripping off the old ones. all the shows, comic books, games, toys, cartoons, and movies. from my childhood are getting drag through the mud.
Yeah, but Terminator was a lot more fragile in the story, seeing as how the time alterations really messed everything up when Terminator 3 happened. Ghostbusters 3 doesn't have to worry about that.

it's a gamble if it's gonna be a success or a flop, for instance like the 4th Indiana Jones film (I personally quite enjoyed it whereas the public slated it) but i think for the fans one more ghostbuster movie would be good and it will fill a large blank over the last 20 odd years or so.

Ask yourself this question, where can they go with the story, think about the logistics of the idea. I don't appreciate movies? behave, I love movies but I also know that sometimes flogging a dead horse is not a good thing in to do in films. For example when we think of the ghostbusters, we think of them as a young group who kicked some total ass. I read what they're thinking about making the script and obviously its not gonna be the same. It could be so different that the whole franchise might be butchered...like...overdone.
Really? They all said the magic was still there when they did the Ghostbusters video game, like they never left. And I agree with them. It was like 20 years hadn't passed at all. Sure, they were still young in the game, but the idea is they jumped back into their characters. I'd like to see them aged and in uniform now. I think Harold Ramis has an Albert Einstein look going on, which really fits Egon, anyway. My concern is only for the younger recruits, which may not be as good.
I hope they never make this movie, ghostbusters is a classic and belongs in the 80's. There hasnt been a single modern sequel that didnt spoil the 1st one, not one. Leave it alone!

As a child i LOVED the first Ghostbusters movie... Watching ECTO-1 being escorted by the military through New York on their way to go kick some ass, Savin' the Day playing. Was so badass to me lol.

it's a gamble if it's gonna be a success or a flop, for instance like the 4th Indiana Jones film (I personally quite enjoyed it whereas the public slated it) but i think for the fans one more ghostbuster movie would be good and it will fill a large blank over the last 20 odd years or so.

I agree with Bill: sometimes after so many years apart from the last sequel if someone decides to make a trilogy now, the magic, the special feeling we all get from watching the old movies could disappear
For example when we think of the ghostbusters, we think of them as a young group who kicked some total ass. I read what they're thinking about making the script and obviously its not gonna be the same. It could be so different that the whole franchise might be butchered...like...overdone.

Really? They all said the magic was still there when they did the Ghostbusters video game, like they never left. And I agree with them. It was like 20 years hadn't passed at all. Sure, they were still young in the game, but the idea is they jumped back into their characters. I'd like to see them aged and in uniform now. I think Harold Ramis has an Albert Einstein look going on, which really fits Egon, anyway. My concern is only for the younger recruits, which may not be as good.

I think it's a damned shame that this didn't come out long ago, I still can't understand why part three wasn't in the books 15 years ago. A Movie Source confirmed that Production begans this December 2011 then Filming in 2012 for a 2013 release. On August 25th 2011 on The Dennis Miller Show Dan Aykroyd Confirmed that Ghostbusters 3 will be made with or without Bill Murray and I have the " Proof" Video from this source. Dan Confirmed that they have an Excellent GB3 Script and a Friend of mine told me when he met Dan at his Vodka signing that GB3 is Happening and that Dan is hoping that Bill will be in GB3 but Dan wasn't 100% Sure but I've heard from other people that Bill will be doing GB3.
