Man but he is right , or maybe not with that " blues and shit " but still a lot of ppl who review metal muff plays BLues , Rock xP And you supossed to play metal !
The reason why its sounds like that is because he is playing riffs with the top boost on! The top boost is meant for lead solos, its not meant to be played like this. I have this pedal an it melts faces!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those loud, hi screeching squeals at the beginning sounds like my goddamn dentist with his frigg-in drill. I guess he aspires to be a metal guitarist ( :
@yopeterman But it's a metal distortion pedal and still sounds pinched and EQed as fuck.. Use your ears, not your eyes. I play a Gibson with PAFs into an Orange with the mids pushed, so I should know what midrange sounds like.
@yopeterman Whatever. I commented what I wanted to on this video, because thats how it sounds to me. Thats my opinion. And you know what I meant when I mentioned the gear, you asshole. I dont feel like getting into a stupid fucking youtube argument with you. It's a waste of time. Find a hobby instead of commenting on people's opinions to try and start shit on youtube. thanks.
I have this pedal, if you roll back the gain a little bit, turn up the mids and keep the Treb and Bass at about 12, then it really has a sweet old school metal tone to it.
It's not just fuzz on fuzz with the treble on 11 if you use it right ;)
I have a metal muff but my tone is still not as crusing as I want it. I have a Cort X-2 and a Solton CHorus Line 100. Whats should I get first new pickups or a new amp?
dude, to Slaughter, the next thing you need now is a bigger amp, i reccommend a Hartke Piggyback GT60, uses a tube for that nice warmth, plus its only 200$ on Daddys.com
people need to learn how to mic their amps when doing these tests. But what I have found out is the good guitar tones still sound good with the camera mics, just not as good obviously
HEY MEN DON'T NEVER BUY THE METAL MUFF AND THE DIME DISTORTION!i've had both of them and they REALLY suck!!is much better the distortion of my zoom g2 that i've payd 40 euros!before buy those little children toys, listen to them in a guitar shop, because they are expensive and can give you a huge depression!!!
@topografer you're right.good distortion pedal don't cost around 100 bucks.check out the CICOGNANI DRAGON TUBE DISTORTION,it's fucking amazing,or even the H&K tubeman.the problem is the price.but to play with metal muff is a calvarium.best pocket peda i'ever eard is the boss metal core, but its quality is childish.ciao dall'italia!!
top boost shouldnt be on for regular playing boosts those mids way too much + mids are already pretty damn high on those settings + other fucked up eq + running this beauty of a pedal through a shitty amp = this mess
I'd recommend something like this: Bass: 8.5, Mids: 7.5 and treble around 9, gain around 8, bridge pick-up and something like 8-9 tone, i love that tight bottom end that sound gives. Tell me what you think=)
aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh too much noise!!! it's impossible to understand something! O.o
Seymour Duncan Invaders they are a lot better than EMG's...I think the best distortion the Ibanez TS-9...it's like an overdrive but you can make terrible noise and heavy metal, but you can still hear the notes very good...
Dam i bought a line 6 effect pedal for almost 400 dollars and i hate the whole process and confusion to bring a tone i like. With this i so easy to use and very amazing response with the amp your getting the best deal for i believe is 89 dollars. Im going to sell my line 6 pedal now.
so what if it's muddy, some people like that sound. Everyone has their own opinion and taste on amplifiers. Marshall gets half of its profit just by the name. just because a popular musician uses a certain amp, that doesn't mean everyone else has to.
i never said get a gay ass marshall is said dont get a line6 the sound is muddy so harmonics come out poor the balace of mids bass and highs are just way out of balance making heavy songs sound the same a normal amp with a effects pedal will sound heavier and solos will sound alot crisper and line6 make static sounds near electrical equipment
wow you're chock-full of dissing on both sides of the spectrum aren't you? you don't like marshall nor line 6 even though both are used by very many guitarists including popular ones. you must be a first act faggot because you obviously have no respect for amplifiers. what the fuck kind of amps do you play on?
i dont use marshall and line 6 thats it marshall is a mainstream company the reason why people use them is because marshall pays out the ass for there indorsies and then people think since artists use ill buy one people use line 6 because its a cheap way to to get a heavy sound i admit its better than many distortions out there but when it comes to a good amp that your not paying for the name and a good distortion they sound better than line6 and marshall amps also cursing makes you look dumb
Muddy isn't a sound anyone shoots for. Some people like their sound dark, or with cut mids, or bottom heavy but no one wants muddy.
Muddy sounds like a cheap amp through cheap speakers.
Buying a Marshall amp means you're getting quality, not just a name. Oh, and by the way, if you ever want to sell your amp, that "name you're paying for" will let you get way more of your investment back than a no-name cheapo amp.

@AwfulVision haha That's funny i have a crate v32 that's a combo amp. And it has more of a original Marshall sound than most Marshall's now days have. And i didn't pay a fortune for it becuase of a name :P
ohh is that why there's so many reviews saying it's one of the best pedals out there? i understand you have your opinion but coming to a metal muff video and running your mouth off saying it sucks is a very moronic on your part.
thats what im talking about all the vids ive seen for this pedal have passives. i have an 85/81 set up i can already tell how this pedal will most likely sound.
