We stopped here in 2004 and paused to take a photo from side of road opposite the gas station, we were greeted with a torrent of threatening abuse.
We recalled the Movie Deliverance(there was no other traffic or people visible), so got back into our car and promptly left town - we then noticed someone watching our departure through binoculars from the shadows of the gas station.
