Love the videos. I notice you do not discuss IV's in the segements. I am retired Army and did a few "combat lifesaver" courses. I learned to do IV's...sort of. It was usually a bloodletting and my guy usually passed out..ha. Anyway I have a CLS bag with some good stuff in it. It has an epinpheral pen (spelling) for allergic reactions, and IV bags. However the bags expired in 2004, and I need new ones. Do you believe them to be a good investment? You never mention them. Thanks
AWESOME VIDEOS. My wife & I have visited Tennessee & loved it. We're in south Texas (north mexico -LOL) close to the what seems to becoming the "frontlines".
If a person can afford more "advanced" in medical emergency supplies I'd like to also strongly recommend getting some "Israeli Bandages" & keep a few in your "Bugout Bags". US military use them on the battle field because they have an extremely fast application AND can put a lot of pressure on a severe wound in seconds!
Patriot your videos are really awesome. Entertaining for sure and really informative. I love how you just say what your thinking. Comes off as fun and funny but still talking about a serious subject. On another note saw your first video about who would mostly "Go" first after a SHTF type deal, sitting there thinking, "ok who does she think will go first ?" Sitting there eating something sweet ( Forbidden ! ) bolusing my insulin pump I hear what your saying. Thx! Time to take stalk ! Luv ya'
Thank you very very much for sharing. I sat back in my chair with a note pad and wrote down notes, and some things that you have in your kit that I want in my kit! I am definitely subscribing!
@DDeanHall - you can create the spreadsheet by typing the info on notepad - stop and rewind if you miss anything - then open up Excell and key in the info from notepad. Hope it helps!
Been going through you videos to make a list of items I need to get, and it just dawned on me. My goodness! You must have enough stuff to open up your own clinic. Where do you keep all that stuff! ;)
Do you have a blog or facebook page? It would be great if there was a list we could print out with all of your suggestions. You have such great info and so many suggestions its hard to try and write them all down! Lol. Great, great job on the videos. Keep them coming!!
For first aid kits I've used Ethicon Vicryl PLUS. Thread size two-zero or three-zero, needle size CT-two. Last time I shopped for them esutures dot com is where I ended up buying them. The vicryl plus is an antibacterial coated general use absorbing thread. It ties easily and is well suited for general wound closure.
Any advice for a medical kit for livestock / pets/ animals? Would like to see a video on this. If SHTF care of livestock will be of prime importance but I see little on the internet or YouTube on this.
An aside about the sterile gloves in the video. I know it's not ideal, but regular latex gloves and liberal use of hand sanitizer would do if you have no other options. Not perfect, but better than nothing...
Sister, U R AWESOME!!! Glad to see a female being is so willing to help, and knowledgeable!!! NO IM NOT BEING SEXIST, just thanking you!!! Keep up the GOOD WORK!!! Question: Can you shoot ?
Thank you . You service and videos will save people's lives. Your vision of explaining and giving simple directions will help us become better peppered . Thank you and God Bless.

Hi PN,
This is a great series you put together.
I apparently need lots more stuff..
What are your views on having superglue in the kit to seal up cuts, etc?
I've seen people use it, I've used it on occasion, and heard the military does too.
Is it going to cause cancer or anything like that?
Not talking about a permanent fix, but as a field repair to stop the bleeding until you can fix it correctly.
Thanks!
