  • I love this movie!!!!

  • the train scene is one of the saddest parts in the movie...seeing Chihiro, unaware of how her journey will help her find her way home, but continuing on out of determination and love for her dear friend...seeing No-face, still unable to find a place for himself, still driven towards where Chihiro is going because she is the only one who has ever paid attention to him out of the kindness of her heart...it just beautifully sets up the next scene, where everything finds peace

  • ...so emotional...:)

  • What is the little tune at the beginning?

  • The train scene always makes me cry. It's so beautiful...

  • ≧∇≦ I love Spirited Away so much omg.

  • @Lemontea10101 And you're the kind of fan that ruins it for us.

  • my favourite of the soundtrack :3

  • It's beautiful, a great movie, soooo lovely and magical!! ^^

  • my god i love miyazakis work and his art . beautiful.

  • When she walks the rails of the treain in the water...the subtle symbolism is stunning.

    I can't help crying...T.T

  • I cry whenever I watch this movie.... soooo touching..... I tried to get my friend to watch it..... she didn't believe me when I said it was great.... well..... HAYAO MIYAZAKI AND JOE HISAISHI ARE GENIUSES!!!!!! <3

  • This movie made me feel different than most do. It touched me in an amazing way. I used to watch it as a kid, and watching it again let me relive the way I felt when I had seen it for the first time. It is a fascinating film, with my favorite sceen near the end, the train sceen where everything flows past and the people get off the train with bags, getting off in places that seem like nowhere, like travelers lost in life. And this piano playing the hole time, the soundtrack to life itself.

  • What a beautiful song and movie

  • what was the tune in the beginning? :)

  • When I first saw this movie as an eleven year-old, I regarded it with indifference. But that indifference didn't last, and now I've truly come to appreciate it. Sometimes I wish I can just forget the movie so I can watch it all over again.

  • OMG! this was the first anime movie i ever saw!!

  • this is my favorite bit of the spirited away soundtrack.

    sad-happy.....

it makes me cry sometimes though.

  • good good, i like it's

  • I always cried when I saw the the girls parents turn into pigs, and I referred this movie as "the one where her parents change into pigs" to small children to shorten it down for them.

  • This scene always got me. Everyone is saying that the train signifies life. And every time I watch that scene, I always feel so lonely...

  • resident evil 2 save music thats what this reminds me of.

  • For me, there are two interpretations to this song; the active people, who are the passengers in the train, and the passive, who watch life as they know it pass them by. I don't know, maybe it's just me. But the whole song takes on a much more dire tone than I would have though possible.

  • whoever disliked this lost there soul on the train...

  • I GOT IT!! i was trying to describe what i feel when i hear this song.

it reminds me of the feeling you get when someone extremely close to you that youve known all you life is dead... and its a couple months later to the point where you still feel sad and miss them so badly yet your remembering all the great times you had together and it kills you with nostalgia so theres a extremely small part of you thats content you got to know the person.....yeah

  • @NyanDeerXD i totally agree!

  • for me watching this scene of the movie in the train wasnt very sad... but the music just adds so much nostalgia...

it makes you feel sad... yet in a happy way? The kind of feeling that isn't really just sadness but a whole blob of positive emotions bursting out and you cover that with the fact that its gone and you get sad... but your so happy to have it as a memory...

  • i always cry at this part in the movie, i could go on forever, but i can only use 500 characters and right now i'm at 379 so i can't really but i would if i could. (*sob sob*)

  • This song makes me feel overwhelmed with such sadness and nostalgia. I feel like crying because of memories that never existed, crying for a past that isn't real.

  • @californiaxskyline likewise.....i just can't help it to feel OVERWHELMED..... love this asian passion for the good soundtracks, every dorama, anime, etc.....comes with it's own COOL + SAD + HAPPY + GREAT music!!!

  • @californiaxskyline But one we wish we had.

  • @aveaida And one that we want to live again.

  • everytime i hear a song from this soundtrack i automatically know what scene its from. and i love that.

  • this is my favourite track from this movie.. I love it..It's beautiful..

  • Walking home alone,it's raining, and you have no umbrella. You have to take the bus and when you get home you realize there is no way in because you have no key. You then sit in the rain on the sidewalk, waiting for someone. Head down, almost crying. This song is exactly what I thought of when this happened to me.

  • This movie's soundtrack is so deep.....

  • There's aversion of this, I think from the original movie where the beginning has a synth drone in the background to it, really gives it a new age kinda feel. Plus the piano is no where near as harsh as it is in this.

Does anyone know what version im talking about, or where I can find it?

  • @N3M3SISWARM Sixth station?

  • Always loved this film and the music, it's so lovely! :)

  • is that a ture story!?

  • Someone didn`t get off at the 6th stop :)

  • Who could dislike this?

  • love it so much!

  • Joe Hisaishi is such an amazing person he's so inspirational

  • Why "sixth"? Why not "seventh" or "fifth"? I believe the number stands for a meaning, but I can't get it. Somebody please explain? :)

  • @VietZX123 it is from the movie chihiro is told to go to swamp bottom which is the sixth stop

  • @longliverocknroll5 So why isn't the swamp bottom at 5th or 7th stop? :P I guess the "6th" must stand for a certain meaning ... who knows? ^___^

hmmm ... may it be "6 realms"?

    buddhism. about.com/od/basicbuddhistteachings/tp/Six-Realms-of-Existence.htm

    &&

    onmarkproductions. com/html/six-states.shtml

  • @VietZX123 i doubt there is any real meaning behind it but it could mean that i guess. not everything needs to mean something

  • @VietZX123 six stops: birth, child, teenager, adult, elder, death? I have no idea, but like the top comment says right now, it symbolizes life xD maybe you can think about it in that sense

  • @VietZX123 Sometimes a duck is just a duck.

  • a boy is lying over in the dirt. he is ruthlessly bullied and is helped by no one. his family and friends have all abandoned him. he is gently crying but can't move. gently a voice is heard, and he realises someone is close. he prepares for te worst but is instead comforted. tears flow from his eyes as he realises this person is here to help. it is too late. his injuries are to severe but although he dies, his helper helps change peoples perspective. the helper never forgets his one failure.

  • Amo esta canción !! He estado buscandola aproximadamente 7 años :L Graciias por subirla, no sabes como te lo agradesco :)

  • For me, this scene signifies life. Like the train, life is a journey. You're stuck on the rails of existance. You don't know where you came from, why you're here, but you keep on traveling with uncertainty in this world. You don't know when you will get off this train, and as you travel along this journey all of the people you know and love will slowly disappear, and you are eventually left alone, with just the memories of those people. Inevitably we all must exit this train of life...

  • @Rinkufan I think that there's some truth in that, but you gotta look on the bright side too. And who knows, maybe you're the first to go, so you wouldn't be all alone. Although, if you have a religion, then you'd know where you came from and your purpose in life. I mean, more or less.

  • @Rinkufan well said

  • @Rinkufan that is.. if you're not the one who disappears first... :]

  • @Rinkufan did you have to go that far and make me cry? but it's beautiful!

  • That symbol on the left side of the bath house. Isn't that the same symbol as Mount Myoboku from Naruto? Or does it mean something...

  • @TheChickline1 I think it stands for Abura (Oil) in japanese kanji. Might be related to the use of oil for Sannin training in Naruto, not sure what it means for Spirited Away, been ages since I watched this movie.

  • I feel so enlightened.

  • this is soo touching! i wanna cry, laugh, shout and scream i feel like i'm duying but i'm alive. This IS a Masterpiece of Music :)

  • Out of curriosity, could you tell me where the little melody, that plays in the beginning, comes from? It sounds like something I want to hear more of~

Beautiful soundtrack; so peaceful. Takes your thoughts away for a while.

  • DAMMIT, MIYAZAKI!! Now you got my keyboard wet! *sniff*

  • @PredictableEnigma joe hisaishi composed this song ^_^ miyazaki produced the movie they are a dreamteam~

  • isnt it called sixth station.

  • Such a depressing scene in the movie... :'(

  • beoutiful .... im in a emotional state now because of this melody.....

  • songs like this take my breath away. <3

  • I love Joe Hisaishi music <333

  • list movie has the most magical soundtracks one day i was lisening to this song outside before sunrise cuz i had i fight with my mom i closed my eyes and a train rushed past, the wind blow i just couldnt do anything but sit there and breath

  • 1 unlike. Hm... I wonder who that is :P

  • Comment removed

  • whats a sixth stop? -.-

  • @AlexGotsSwag DEATH!!!

  • @AlexGotsSwag its a reference to the movie chihiro has to get off of the train at the sixth stop

  • this music reminds me of the Resident Evil Zero game probably because it is creepy and sad music and the scene takes place on a train

  • As the year draws to a close, 2012 is here. I wonder... if 2012 will be the 6th stop?

  • This really makes me feel nostalgic. I watched this when I'm 8years old i think and now I'm 15, I could understand what message they brought from this story. It means a llot and I even cried, I dunno why, but it just made me cried

  • @5o78 watched the film 15 times between the age 10 - 12 o.O

  • @054khj2911 hahaha, bet u got tired of it

  • @5o78 i guess you, or rather we cry because we are human being, with the same end, and inevitably going to the same destination through the train of life.

  • This always gives me chills.

  • What is the bit of music at the beginning? its cute ^ ^

  • WHAAA!!!! The commercial sounded very simelar to the intro! I didn't even notice I was listening to the commercial untill some guy started talking!!!

  • I'm so happy you made this :)

  • I used to watch this movie when I was little and I loved it. And I Still love it <3

  • No dislikes, LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY

  • @jellrok YOU JINXED IT.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

    D:

  • Here is my favourite music. One of the most incredible songs of all time. It feels like an other world, dreams, poetry, feelings, magical, emotions, sadness but joy at the same time. It is very hard to explain with words, but you feel it.

  • what's the music used in the first 2 seconds or something?

  • It sounds a little different from the same song in the movie, but i like it better that way, especially from 2:09.

  • I love this movie sooooo much, and I've watched it at least 13x, even more than howl's moving castle, and that movie is awesome! I have the books and everything

  • i was listening to this song on my ipod and sitting on my roof, and the sun has gone down but it wasn't quite dark yet..and i hear the train honking and echoing, and i see it slowly pass down the tracks and its headlight shining through the trees.

Most magical moment of my life

  • @KaciiKawaii how weird but fitting strange

  • if there was ever something to dislike.. it'd be the commercials that occur before the video starts :/

  • Hisaishi is brilliant....period.

  • (\_(\

    (='.')

    (,(")(")

  • I'm not sure why but this song just really hit me as being amazing, The entire movie was incredible, but it was the score that really got me. Thank you Mr. Hisaishi for creating such wonderful music

  • why can i have friends like you guys? who knows about special movies and music like the ones who hayao miyasaki and joe hisaishi makes

  • 0:33 <3

  • this song made me cry and i dont even know why...when i listen to this song it just makes me tear up.

  • @mouakyle17 i know what you meann. i love this kind of music, it's almost as if it tells a story on its own.

  • ok,i LOVE this movie, but i can't find what website to find.it can some one help.

  • ... you're on a train... you're not sure where you're going... or where you came from, but you know that you're on a train to a place far away. Faces appear... disappear and each one you'll never remember. Like you, they're just travelers ready to be forgotton. But that's good becuase that is the way it's meant to be. It's starting to grow dark now. The fields are orange... gold... amber... gone. People have faded, so you are now alone... you're journey is coming to an end soon... so soon...

  • @splatman777876 Very poetic. :))

  • @splatman777876 'your'

(in that case) sry, couldn't help it :D

  • @Gremas you're = you are

  • @retardedsquirrel04 yes, but 'you are journey is coming to an end soon...' makes no sense at all, instead he should have used 'your' in this case.

    that's what i meant

  • @Gremas Ah! Knew I would get something wrong. But as long as the message is understood, that's the main thing. We can all take something different from this music, as we do with all music.

  • @splatman777876 You described it really well. Every time I hear this song, I have a feeling. This song has a charm. It induces calmness, sadness, fear and worry to me at the same time. It reminds me of life and death (journey on earth). I'm terrified but can't help listening to it repeatedly.

  • @splatman777876 This is a brilliant post. Enough said.

  • @splatman777876 Great Poet you are :D

  • @splatman777876

i can imagine everything that you said while listening to this song.

very powerful image i have to say. it gives me a very...lonely and lost feeling.

  • Hayao makes moments of pure beauty that reach down into the most jaded person and touch them completely. They are so sincere, so pure, so profound, and so comforting that you can't help welling up with gratitude that art exists in this world that can actually heal a person. Many of his cursed characters revert to their true selves in sleep, or moments of remembrance or vulnerability, without self-consciousness-- I realized recently that, as the viewer, that happens to ME as I watch and listen.

  • I cant sleep without this song in the background :") its so beautiful

  • This theme always plays in my head when I'm on the way home after my last day of school for another year :)

  • love it <3

  • Favorite song on the soundtrack.

  • I remember being a kid and seeing trailers for this film. I didn't know what to make of it. Eventually when I saw it maybe 1 or 2 years ago, I've become a huge Miyazaki fan. I'm so damn grateful.

  • No matter how many times i watch this movie, i always find my self with tears streaming down my face when she is saying good bye to Zeniba. i also love the last line in the movie (which make me laugh every time) "Dad: a new house and a new school, it can be a little scary. Chihiro: I think i can handle it."

  • i swear...i can watch Spirited Away over and over again. Beautiful story, beautiful music. I will never forget this movie.
